Re: DVD box sets

Quantum Leap and Buffy are good mindless fun box sets.
Loved Breaking Bad, was leant the box set for series one, and then downloaded all the others.
Parks and Recreation is really funny, as to are People Like Us and Snuff Box DVDs have made me laugh loads of late, espeically Snuff Box, it is some weird shit!
Newsroom was really good, and if you liked that the Sportsnight woud tick some boxes for you too!

Men Behaving Badly.
Peep Show.
Teachers.
The Office.
Fawlty Towers.
Steptoe and Son.
Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em
Gavin and Stacey (most wont like it, I think it's brilliant.
Auf Wiedersehen Pet.
Bottom.

I'd guess you have a fair few of them already though?

Fell in love with football as I was later to fall in love with women: suddenly, inexplicably, uncritically, giving no thought to the pain or disruption it would bring with it.

Got a couple, seen most. Some good stuff though Moleman.

I really enjoyed Utopia the other night. Would like to find something similar to that which hasn't come on my radar.

Wife's favourite box set is Early Doors.

I like it. I always seem to think of that and Black Books together. Like both of them. You can pick up the Black Books box set for about £6. Worth a dip.

Its truly historic in the sense that the majority of the events in which Sharpe is placed actually took place - all the battles, campaigns etc

However, there was one single soldier who accomplished every victory in the way that Sharpe did.

Cornwell crafts his novels carefully. He will know that something happened in a way that isnt always well explained by history, and will use Sharpe as the reason for why those incidents happened. Hence, he does loads of exciting stuff, that probably never actually happened.

If it were a football score, it would be Sharpe 25-0 France, which is probably unrealistic.
