Re: predictions v ebbsfleet away sat

Forget League positions (add next Tuesday to that). Fleet have added several players to their squad in recent weeks and came back from 0-2 down to draw at leaders Woking last time out. Hope for a win but will go for a 2-2 draw.

Re: BARROW V Solihull match thread

Watched highlights on BT at the weekend including a superb goal for Aldershot by a young lad called Panayiotou. Also a couple from Kurt Willoughby, who we were rumoured to be linked with,in Fyldes' defeat.

Re: Team and prediction oldham tues

Would help if it was properly publicised. Not even mentioned on RC sports bulletin this morning. As for the team should be an opportunity for game time for the likes of Wade.Brown,Waddington,Hindle and Penfold. The rest of the team padded out by locals. Think some of those who played last season are ...

Re: BARROW V Hartlepool match thread

Fine lines as the saying goes. If we'd scored one more or conceded one less in every game we would be in a play-off place with 14 points and just one defeat. Also though of little relevance to us three of the pre-season promotion favourites Wrexham,Chesterfield and Fylde all with far bigger budgets t...

Re: National League Highlights 19/20

it was the linesman who gave the penalty ian, from where i was stood i couldnt see but looking at the highlights it was outside the box. officials not up to standard again Heard an interesting theory from Pressley on RC about refereeing at the lower levels this season. Apparently many of the top off...

Re: Woking v BARROW match thread

Even if he was available, I think he would be out of our budget. Not for one minute suggesting we should bust the budget. Something like a loan till the end of the year then re-assessed given both clubs circumstances at the time. Would hope that Evos' connections with them would help swing the best...

Re: Woking v BARROW match thread

another nearly game and once Platt is brought into the team, probably on Tuesday that should sort central defence out. Maybe try getting Anderton in on loan from Blackpool to play left back - he was not even on the bench again today. Interesting views on us on the Woking forum though;- Agreed that ...

Re: Ollie Dyson

missing from within the 6 yard box on Saturday was just another glaring example of his profligacy After watching the highlights, I thought that it wasn't as bad a miss as it seemed. The ball was crossing behind him as he ran in and he tried to scoop it. A bit unfortunate. Similar to the one Quigley...

Re: Has FBS Stadium sponsorship ended?

Watched highlights, BT Sport repeatedly calling the ground Holker Steet. Either there is some advertising block and BT are not allowed to refer to the ground by the sponsorship name, or the researchers haven’t done their homework and put the name on the presenters / commentators notes. Considering ...

Better than that the club won it in the 1954/55 season. According to wiki. Wiki is correct, Mark. We beat Oldham, but I have no other details. We've also been losing finalists on three occasions since then, according to my records:- 1965/66 lost 4-0 to Burnley after beating Liverpool, Bury, & Black...

Re: Stockport v BARROW match thread

On the eve of the season IE said we had competition for every position. As far as the defence goes that seems to have disintegrated. Saltners injury means no cover for Dixon. Brown seems to be simply a filler-in for illness/injury.At the heart of the defence we lost Wilson and Elsdon after a long la...

Re: Barrow AFC v Eastleigh FC

I seem to think he may have gone to trial at Everton with Jon Balm; or maybe not - long time ago now. Nevertheless if the soccer were to have a statue of a legend at the ground as the rugby do, it would have to be Cowps. The man responsible for most of the greatest goats ever seen at the old place....
