There is another visit planned for this Sunday. Meet at the club at 9am
This is your chance to help the club
Everyone is welcome. There are jobs for everyone.
The maintenance area under the main stand needs a major tidy, there are outstanding painting and Electrical jobs.
Get yourself down.....
As Neil mentions, the GMA needs a really good sort out.
One of the things we’ve noticed since we’ve been back is that quite a few tools have gone missing, the main one being a virtually brand new concrete breaker (just on the off chance, if anyone reading this knows someone who borrowed it, can you please remind them where it lives)
There are smaller items as well, some that perhaps someone on here could help with if you no longer use them at home.
We’re desperate for some extension leads, the sort that are on spools.
If anyone has any tools at home they no longer use (electric or hand) we’d be more than grateful if you could donate them to the GMA. We’d rather not spend donated money on these things as the money would be much better used buying materials but we’re probably going to have to in the coming months, especially some of the things that we’ve been using that are bordering on unsafe (extension cables, electric drills, grinders, but we’ll take anything)

Everything is now under lock and key again - as we used to have it so nothing should go missing from now on.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

We are badly in need of a wheelbarrow if anyone has a spare or one they don't use please. The one we have is rusty and has holes in it now. We will be most grateful.

The breaker is back. It had been borrowed and not returned to the maintenance area. Also on of the 240 - 110 boxes is back. Their is two more in the stewards room along with a 50m extention. The breaker is in full working order. The first two of the old floodlight bases have been removed how ever the rubble will be removed next week. Too much dust for my chest so had to give up today. Can't make this Sunday but will see you good peeps next time.

The good news is the concrete breaker has turned up! over the moon with that as we thought it had gone forever, and it would’ve been another £150 to replace it.

Many thanks to the people who have donated items in the last 24 hours. We have a brand new 30m extension cable off a gentleman who has helped us before, and a couple of second hand ones....now no one dies 😁 We’ve also been given have a couple of really useful transformers. Another supporter who wishes to remain anon has offered to buy us a brand new wheelbarrow. All very generous offers, thank you.

If anyone else has anything they have surplus to requirements - from hand saws to battery drills to jigsaws, screws....anything, we’ll gladly give them a new home.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

A swift response to a request for a wheelbarrow. I wasn't expecting a new one so many thanks to the person who has kindly donated this.
Our fans never fail to amaze me.

A good morning Andy. Another twelve people all doing their bit.

Elaine, Mable & Mike all cleaning, the place is spotless again.
Mike & Mable also hung a few framed signed/shirts in the club shop and reception area.
The GMA has a three hour sort out by myself, Tommy, IRVJ and Peter...all electric tools under lock and key.
The two leccy’s had a look at the power for the new porta-loo, but we think we’ve come up with a better plan for the toilet situation on the popside. We’ll see how that goes in the coming weeks.
Big Al give the main stand and surrounding areas a good clean.
Alan painted out the remaining wall in the pie/can bar and did the rest of the painting of the tiles in the X Bar toilets.

A few bigger plans for the coming months to be discussed with the BoDs.

I know everyone seems to be after cash atm but if anyone feels like they can donate a few quid, it’d go a long way. Same as the tools we’ve previously mentioned, anything donated saves us spending cash on them.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Nothing planned for tomorrow Mike...except a lie-in 😁

Many thanks to the three people who have donated money and tools this week. One is a cracking DeWalt battery drill still in its case, another donation of tools is being dropped off at the ground this week and one of the directors just told me he has £100 off an anon donator.

All greatly appreciated.
