Warwickshire Police's investigations into the violent disorder at the match are continuing, and they want statements from anyone who was at the game, in particular from anyone who was assaulted. The officer concerned is Sgt Mick Duffy, and he can be contacted on his direct line, 0773 300 1108.

(Mods, would this be better in the Barrow AFC section?)

John Mackay's column in the Stalybridge programme had this: "More than sixteen (people) have been arrested with more to follow. Hopefully no future Barrow fan will endure what occurred on that day.

So, if's 22, then it would be interesting to know what they have been charged with, and when are they due in court, can you help with this, Peter?

Sgt Duffy told me that the 601 photographer had provided them with 150 photographs of the incident which will have gone a long way to identify those responsible.
I didn't think I could offer much in the way of evidence but once I started talking about the events my account seemed to confirm what others had said.
Sgt Duffy and his colleague had traveled to Manchester on the Saturday to interview the fans from that area and then on to Barrow on the Sunday.
I hope those cowards are put where they belong----in jail.
