For many years Tranmere played their home games on Friday nights. It was very popular and undoubtedly boosted gates. Don't know why it stopped but it was still going when I had to move away from the area for work and Tranmere fans still talk fondly about it. Worth a try unless it is forbidden by som...

Given the atrocious weather conditions, this was a most impressive performance all round. Barrow had to play into the worsening conditions after half-time and managed it with no little skill and absolute determination. Good performances all round. Frustrating incosistencies on the part of the refere...

As one who made the journey to Havant yesterday I would like to record the highlights, i.e. the record breaking time achieved by the bus drivers southbound and the even faster journey home. I went to see a football match only there wasn't any football.. Very disappointed.

Can't be off! There is nothing to say so on the club website.

Would like to see this lot play in the maroon strip at home next Saturday and in all subsequent home games until they are deemed fit to call themselves Bluebirds. All recent reports and comments suggest ineptitude and, what is worse, disinterest, which is unforgivable. I am minded to show my own dis...

Best "away day" for many moons and in all respects both on and off the field. Both teams produced some good stuff in atrocious conditions and both were clearly intent on winning the game. The net result was first class, nail-biting entertainment and I was delighted to be there. The late eq...

A good report Barrow Lad. That was the game I was at tonight. Full marks to both teams but I am very proud of my Barrow scarf. Great entertainment / bad for the old ticker!!

Full marks to both sides for this one. 100% commitment all round and an excellent advertisement for the quality of football in the National League. The game was by no means won until the late penalty. Glad I did not have to pick the man-of-the-match because every man in a whitish shirt was a hero to...

"Quis custodiet ipsos custodes" (Juvenal) - "Who guards the guards" The stewards were, no doubt, operating to instructions from...well Who? Glad to see the those who bring our club, town, county and country into disrepute barred from Holker Street but definitely not at the expens...

"Will so call Barrow supporters stop trying to destroy our players, get off the lads back and try to support, the amount of stick we give our players at times is pathetic"

WELL SAID. I agree wholeheartedly.

Stuff of dreams for Taunton. Local derby in prospect. They'll be well fired up for Tuesday week.

Just wish to endorse Mark Mc's comment:- "Our hosts were brilliant and deserve praise for what was a well organised event, one that all associated with Taunton Town should be very proud of." Obviously a lot of work went into the preparation. A good old-fashioned cup tie and a good day out....

Can only endorse all that has gone before. Southport do not have the best defence we shall meet this season, but Barrow read them well and produced the goods with some good football, much of it "on the deck", which produced the result and was good to watch. Glad I was there. Sadly I cannot...

It was not a football match. It was a whistle blowing concert with football intervals. Doubtless the players of both sides where as frustrated as the spectators.

Excellent night out in all respects. My thanks to all involved in organising it all. I know, from the experience of running similar bashes in the past, just how much time and effort it takes. Well done!
