Two goals apiece in added time means we are nine undefeated, but have dropped a place to be overtaken by Carlisle. We have a game in hand on them though. To be fair, a battling Eastleigh defended well and also had a potent goalscoring threat in the form of Aaron Blair who scored a hat-trick in their...

Apologies- of course he did
I have corrected!

It was looking good for us John with two crosses in the 8th and 9th minute, the first across the goal and the second fired by Thompson straight at their goalie. However in the 12th minute, the decision to abandon was probably reinforced when the ball became mired in the mud between Oakley and Winte...

We started off with Winterbottom, Oakley, Alimi-Adetoro, Edwards, Digie, Reid, Thompson, Mooney, Harper, Benjamin and Latty-Fairweather. Just after the hour, Cameron and Lane came on for Reid and Mooney. Ten minutes later, Ward, then Allen and Amos replaced Edwards, Latty-Fairweather and Harper. Des...

An even first half, in which we were pegged back within three minutes of taking the lead, was followed by an eventful second period. Wealdstone went down to 10 men through a second yellow 12 minutes in, while Baptiste did very well to save both a Reid penalty and a Mooney shot ten minutes later. Dog...

Barrow rise to 12th, just in the top half of the table. with a convincing 3-0 win in front of 2,084 supporters including 137 visiting fans. 15 points from 11 games and a plus 4 goal difference. After a worrying first 20 minutes when Scunthorpe dominated and we were in fire-fighting mode, we never lo...

We move up five places in the league with a convincing, battling team performance with three well-taken goals, two from open play, and some excellent defending. The first goal came from a Ward left-hand corner, Williams poking in at the far post in the 18th minute. The other two were superb strikes ...

Barrow are next to bottom of the league tonight with one point from four games. It could have been so different had we taken our chances in a dominant first half or had we managed the game better after Ward’s superb strike in the 75th minute finally gained us the lead. Sadly we eventually paid for o...

The Bluebirds remain unbeaten in pre-season friendlies with a convincing 2-0 victory over Blackpool, 125 years after their first meeting at the Strawberry Ground in September 1901. Sporting this season’s black and white anniversary kit, and Blackpool their famous Tangerine, the committed performance...
