I was there, aged 8. I live about four miles from St James Park and have been waiting for this fixture for 49 years and because of covid can't bloody go!
Still have the programme but not in as good condition as the one shown

As I've said before, I was at that match as a 7year old. I think it was my third ever match. I'm pleased that it's not an early fixture as we wouldn't be able to attend but hopefully will be there in May.

As i was the Surveyor when the main stand was build i can safely say that you're completely wrong on the costs - the cantilever idea would have been far more expensive and needed much bigger steel sections, not only that but the foundations for the cantilever steelwork would have undermined the ext...

Alan Banks is still involved at ECFC. Usually see him around on match days. Great ambassador for the club
