Re: Paul Kalambayi

I’m noticing that most of our signings come from Non league; this guy in particular only played at this level in a relegation season and most recently played in the NLS.

Hopefully we get some more EFL experience through the door

Re: TONY SHEARER RESIGNS

He puts a positive spin all the time he must have the DNA of a politician. After last season I am sceptical of what he said and without any new funding im yet to be convinced Yes he does but we'll lose £500,000 this season ( unless a cup run), that'll be by his figures £1,000,000 next season and as...

We all live in a Barrow Submarine

Thought I’d start a thread on this subject that’s currently going viral this morning.

Re: Whing replacement?

Clearly McDonald was brought in as a hedge/future caretaker manager (as was Rob Kelly but he left) when it was clear it wasn’t working with Whing. The issues around the stadium aren’t going away; it’s true it’s not up to L2 standards and this needs addressing or at least starting the conversations a...

Re: Next Head Coach?

So I’m back after a spell “offline” and obviously still following and attending games when I’m in Barrow. So the season that started with so much promise has fallen away; I was at Stamford Bridge with a work colleague and couldn’t have been prouder that day but now we’re looking at another new manag...

This 👆

Earls Court is usually the away hang out, no idea about pubs specifically though.

Thanks corrected

Re: Chelsea date now confirmed as Tuesday 24th September

So tickets booked I’m staying in London after work and bringing a colleague (Arsenal supporter) so I hope we put on a show! My advice for anyone travelling by train is avoid Fulham Broadway it will be ram packed, Earle’s Court tube - near where the away pubs are situated or West Brompton overground...

Re: Tonight's League (Carabao) Cup Draw

Ooooh I’m close enough to get to this game without taking the day off or staying over….

Might even see if my youngest daughter’s mum will let her come on a school night - we was in Barrow at the weekend and went to the PV game.

Re: Barrow v Port Vale, match thread

Well that was my first game at HS and my first visit to Barrow in over a year and I certainly picked a good one; my youngest daughter who supports Arsenal didn’t know what to make of it when we rocked up at the fan zone - she’s only ever been to the The Emirates and Portman Road (she thought that wa...

Re: Carlisle away

Looking forward to this one, though I’m planning a family visit to Barrow to coincide with the home game.
Having said that it will be nice to return from Cumberland with the points.

Re: Sam Barnes

The lad’s had a horrendous time with I believe x2 ACL injuries keeping him out for most of the last two years. Reading the comments from ex Rovers Manager JDT is difficult not to feel sorry for him.

Fingers crossed for a lad and Welcome to Barrow.

Re: Wild Leaves

I don't think a football manager really needs to be too concerned about how current their Linkedin profile is, it's not like he's an uknown going for jobs in BAE so I wouldn't read too much into that! Bit sad to see some of the comments now that he's left. Lets not forget when he took over we'd jus...
