Re: Home v Bradford City
I went to this fixture last season and was baffled by the ridiculous police presence in the town. The type of away fans of bigger clubs in the lower leagues that secure tickets for a smaller away capacity are almost always long standing regular supporters with season tickets with no interest in fist...

Re: Accrington Stanley
Was the Gillingham postponement not because of rapid snow melt that the pitch couldn't deal with? As I'm hoping to go tomorrow (trains permitting) I'm constantly looking at the Walney Island weather observations

Re: Barrow v Notts County, match thread
That was my first game this season and enjoyed the match, a draw was probably the fairest result. Incredible how far this club has come in six years and the new stands make a big difference to the atmosphere. It seems that every year some form of tangible progress is being made either on or off the ...

Re: Top Three 'Hates'
Any team that has a "Way", for example "The Tottenham Way". As if fans of other clubs are quite happy with dull, negative tactics. Condescending cretins.
There are at least three teams that I can think of that have a "Way" so any three from a large list for me!

Re: Strange Flag
I can't stand that nonsense. To go into the away end expressively wanting the home team to lose as opposed to the away team to win is bad enough and I've experienced it a few times, but to go further and buy a flag for the occasion is absolute mutant behaviour.

Re: Barrow v Carlisle
Gutted I'm not going to this but the engineering works on the West Coast line at Carstairs are brutal. Hope its a better outcome than the corresponding fixture last season. Hope Stevenage and Walsall can make things interesting too.

Re: Todays game
The Tite and Locke is a brilliant addition to Lancaster station. Plus like last weekend when we had exactly the same issue we jumped on the Leeds train for ten minutes for two pints in the Snug micropub in Carnforth station while waiting for the next Barrow train. That is a cracking pub too. Besides...

Re: Bradford ticket
I see Walsall still deal with paper tickets as well yet their stadium is cashless for food and drink. I've always thought that match ticket technology should be the priority. Make it easy for fans to purchase e-tickets in advance but also offer paper tickets with an extra charge on the day for the w...

Re: Carlisle v Barrow match thread
I'll just pop into this as a non local but frequent visitor and say Barrow, Ulverston, Kirkby, Broughton, Dalton etc all feel solid Lancashire to me and are completely different to the Cumbrian mentalists that reside in Carlisle and Penrith. I do actually love going out in Carlisle when Ayr play QOS...

Re: Average attendances
The increase in attendances from, say 2017 when I started occasionally attending, have been impressive. I just wonder what all these folk were spending their time on at the weekends prior to promotion to the league? Were they supporting another team in the area or further South? Or just not botherin...

Re: Carlisle away
Got down to -6 last night but looks like tonight will be the bigger test as Friday night looks cloudier and less cold.
If it does go ahead I will plead to the EFL for a one off licence to sell mulled wine during the game
