Re: Barrow v Doncaster Rovers, match thread
How come we can now name 7 substitutes? Didn’t we start the season only be able to name 6 due to some rule around having an academy player on the bench or some nonsense?

Re: Ground Work
I’m not a parent at all never mind a parent to a 16 year old. If you read the above post, i think scrapping the academy for the coming 12-18 months is a good idea, if money is tight and the cash is needed elsewhere. I just think all signs and signals coming out of the club right now point to the wi...

Re: Ground Work
On Tuesday night you posted saying that scrapping the academy plans was a sensible idea. Now you’ve got the club on the brink of bankruptcy? Can we see your workings on the point that it was Brown that walked away from the deal rather than it was Barrow who (rightfully) pulled the plug? Probably ju...

Re: Ground Work
You all want to know the truth? The board don’t want to plow the money in out of their own pockets. Fair enough. 1+1+1=3. The signs are there: Pulling the academy plug Delaying ground improvements Phil brown walking away from a “done deal” Tie your boots boys and girls. It’s going to be a long 12 m...

Re: Academy
It makes sense from the club. If they had 6 lads lined up who were bang average, no chance of making the first team squad and no under 15 squad coming though, to cut them. The financial saving and another 18 months to iron out any issues and problems. This is a professional business where peoples mo...

Re: Academy
I think youth30 is just a passionate angry parent. The key thing was they’re are u16s which means the next step would be u18’s u23’s or reserve football. Or in other terms 16 lads paid full time. If the club doesn’t deem them good enough they have every right to cut the squad. They’re at the end of ...

I’d love us to go after Kellor-Dunn from Oldham and Andrew Dallas from Solihull. Make a statement

Re: Newport v Barrow match thread
We will be fine this season. Oldham and Scunthorpe are poor. It’s next season I worry about. Whichever 2 team come up from the national league will be nowhere near the bottom of the league. Pushing us further down. Morecambe, Crewe, gillingham and Doncaster possibly Wimbledon fleetwood. All seem lik...

Re: January Farewells
We are club building. On the pitch & off the pitch. If we finish 1 place higher than last season. Have the ground to efl standards and future projects on the cards we are progressing. Progression on the pitch comes in stages too. January might bring 4 players in that keep us up again and ready f...

Re: Carlisle v Barrow match thread
Pathetic game. To set up like that and to play like that in front of 1700 away fans. JOKE. Gordon, kay completely playing of pathetic scraps zanzala had to try and create with aimless punts forward. Then that set up and ambush by the police on the “escort” back to the station. What a complete joke t...

Re: Fleetwood home
10k is naff all. We’re not a conference north team anymore paying £250 a week. 10k wouldn’t cover zanzala & Gordon’s wages for a month. Shambles of a cup don’t risk any key players.
