Hendoblue . . . you are absolutely right to mention Kenny Lowe. We talk about managers who have won things but, in the likes of Peter Kane and Kenny Lowe, these are managers who didn't win anything but did something even more important, they helped keep the club alive, and a team on the pitch, duri...

I thought the Halifax Courier gave a decent summing up here https://www.halifaxcourier.co.uk/sport/ ... ay-9313100

No. It just seemed an odd comment about Reid given it was the closest we came to scoring in the first half. The constant negativity about players posted on this forum does irk me slightly and I’m always happy to provide some balance. Everyone provides balance over the course of the game. Same at th...

Shame that ST's strike was missed!

From the early classic “Stand Up” I think. Side one never used to be off the turntable.

Fair play to Murray; brave call to make a triple sub at half time even despite how poor we were first half I actually didn’t think we were that bad first half. I thought we were on top for the first twenty minutes, though we didn’t create many if any clear cut chances but the ball was barely in our...

Sneaking Phil Brown in there is a pretty mad shout he kept us up, but I know what you mean. Saying he kept us up is a bit of a stretch. His points per game was worse than Cooper’s. We would have stayed up if we had only gained one point under Brown as Oldham pretty much imploded upon his arrival. H...

I would imagine even given Tuesdays drier forecast that our visit to the Shay will be already in doubt as it’s notoriously a dodgy pitch at the best of times. Pretty sure Halifax no longer have pitch problems. Think they got a new « hybrid » pitch laid at the beginning of last season. And this is m...

:x Just watched Murray’s post match comments on YouTube. Yes he’s doing well, and I quite like him. I do think he’s too animated in those inevitable interviews though. Whing was the arch exponent of face pulling, tugging, twitching and ultimately it was a revelation of his inadequacies. I hope Murra...

Are you being serious £9,375 for winning tomorrow and £15,800 for 1st round losers, didn`t think we should be throwing away a possible £25,175. Take out the expenses required for both games and you are talking about missing out on what the club paid for Kevin Rapley We’ve got expenses for tomorrow ...

What has gone right, Who's to credit? Decent signings and definitely the move to the 4-2-3-1; we’ve looked miles better since going to 4 at the back As well as decent signings recently, some of those signed earlier have now found their feet after a few games under Murray. Oakley in particular is no...

I don’t think anyone actually called for Murray to be sacked the general consensus was see where we are at 10-12 games and judge. It has to be said though Solihull was an awful performance and result, made even worse by their results since then and at that point I was worried. Murray has added a fe...

Are we still worst Barrow team people have ever seen? It's easy to make smart remarks when we're winning but no one on here can really say in some early games this season it wasn't garbage, don't forget the signings and changes that had to be made ! And it’s just as easy to snipe and make overboard...
