Re: Scott Smith
Can we lose the usual negative b******s and good riddances? ACL means he probably won’t play till next season at the earliest and it affects you for the rest of your career.

Re: Away to Gillingham FA Cup
People need to check their heads in here.
Beat Gloucester and then a team we beat away last year with a worse team and manager then we could draw a Championship side away in the Second Round. £££

Re: Barrow v Gloucester City match thread
The results really confirm just how poor the National League is this season. Only 5 NL teams won against lower league teams while 7 drew and 2 lost. Even from the 5 which won, 3 of those were only by one goal. It’s a cup game. Teams were rotating players, says nothing about us or the rest of the NL...

Re: 10 games in.
If we play with the intensity and rhythm we have the last two matches then we’ll seriously be in the mix for the playoffs. I was one who criticised some of the recent signings but both Thompson and Mooney look decent at this level. Allen and Edwards look football league level so it bodes well going ...

Re: Corey Edwards
Apparently it was between us and Everton U-23s and the promise of first team football swayed him.
He’s exactly the kind of signing we should be making whilst there’s no academy, that Sunderland/Dortmund model of good enough for now but with a high potential who we can sell on higher up the league.

Re: Barrow v Aldershot Town match thread
Get some Fontaines D.C. on at the start, he’s from Barrow isn’t he. Couple of days later 7 points from 12 isn’t that bad really, gives us a kick start going forward. Solihull was a really poor result but Worthing have since beaten Hornchurch and tonked Hartlepool so in retrospect that was a decent p...

Re: Adam Murray Pre Aldershot interview
Theory 1 : I’ll bet whichever player/s were going to Hornby last year and moaning about manager’s they didn’t like has done it again this time and it’s got back to Murray. Theory 2 : One of them has a burner account on the form and slags the team and Murray off. Calls everyone “happy clappers”. The...

Re: This seasons prediction
I predict Pete Wild will be back as manager this season. Based on me putting my finger to the wind - fight me I do back Murray and hope he gets it right (starting Saturday). There was that chaos where it felt like 3 games in a row we were clapping a new manager around Holker Street. That said, I ag...

Re: Whitfield
Taking my “happy clapper” hat off, shipping out Whitfield and replacing him with a guy who got relegated from the National League North last season with Leamington is more than a bit worrying.

Re: Worthing v Barrow match thread
Some of you lot on here are insane, giving up after 7 matches is wild (not the Pete you’re desperate for, while you’re at get Cowps back up front eh?). Some positives: - Mikey Lane looks a real player, two superb goals. - 2-2 away at Worthing isn’t actually a bad result. - We haven’t actually played...

Re: Barrow v Sutton utd match thread
Since the thread is much quieter than it has been after a defeat recently, what was your personal highlight of today? Whitfield getting back on the score sheet and a manager who fist bumps being a personal choice Had to be Marriott’s well taken goal. The way it’s been going for the last year I was ...

Re: Danny Rose
There was a couple of games last season (Colchester and Bromley) where he showed passion and fight, really getting stuck in and giving their defenders a tough afternoon. He seemed to lose hope with the rest of them by the end though and like so many went missing. Definitely a player there though. Ha...

Re: Had to laugh or cry.
Saw Josh Gordon signed for Exeter City (L2) on a free. He always put a shift in, so good for him.
