Fair result I guess. We were the better side overall on play, but they missed an early sitter, scrapped like mad and had an absolute nailed on pen turned down.

Re: Our best manager/managers
Which ones changed a whole outlook of a town as well as brought success? Doesn't that bring it down to Wilkie vs Evatt? As someone who's Barrow 'history' doesn't include the former but have on occasion for various things asked folk of my vintage about Ray Wilkie, people seem to struggle beyond what ...

Re: Ben Jackson
By all accounts, if anything he was paralyzed by self doubt and beating himself up, rather than lack of effort. Ive absolutely no idea whether or not he is good enough but its been a disaster for him and for us. Football is a horrible industry. I don't feel the same way about him as I do to some oth...

Re: Southend v Barrow match thread
Brilliant old school ground, a pleasure to watch football, cracking noise, was difficult but like the team we stuck in and at the end it was Youll never take the Barrow reverberating round thr ground. Game plan worked a treat, weve got an identity. Punk Rock anti football. I will happily watch horri...

We've got three management team appointments right since Kenny Lowe. And Rob Kelly.
Got to hold our nerve. We tried the revolving approach last year and it was cataclysmic

Re: Give 'Em Beans! Match Reports
A great reply in kind from Worthing resident and Punk poet Attila the Stockbroker
An utterly ace match report
But I have one simple retort
Worthing's red as can be
And not blue like the sea
It's no longer a Tory resort!

Handling good
Kicking hmmmm
Saving with feet good
Errors- there's mistakes in him at present
Reminds me a little of Joel Dixon's first season so far and he turned out OK

More committed, no lack of fight. The difference up front and we didnt react.fast enough m. One touch, bang. You get what you pay for. MJ needs to push up. Played better on front foot earlier. Officials guessed every 50 50. Unreal. Support was great till Cameron's miss then mostly quiet and stoical....

Re: Well that’s it- thoughts ahead of the season
From the minute we actually got relegated we've made very few mistakes and Adam Murray is impressive.
I've been at most of them and am excited. That's a team.
But agree the attacking relationships need to develop and we need the one or two mentioned.

Re: TONY SHEARER RESIGNS
Bankrolled most of the most successful times in 50 years. Thank you Tony for that- not many would pile in money into a small football club in a different continent where you can't control the day to day easily. Even your home town one. My very limited understanding is he wanted the departure low key...

Re: Paul Hornby Interview
:scarf: It wasn't Pete Wild who was manager during that pre season escapade in Scotland, it was Mark Cooper. What was the story then? The club was a shambles at that time as Cooper kept alluding to when complaining about the lack of training facilities. Part time club in the lakes he referred to us...
