Probably just one of the few highlights of his life as a cut price casual.Wintergreen wrote:Yeah you keep saying that - was it the highlight of your life or something?stilltheman wrote:surprised to hear macc were giving it the mouth. thought wrexham would be the boys to come here and give it the large one. was in barrow arms before match few years ago and set of 50 wrexham giving it the large one in town.

Got to admit, it is very odd he feels the need to keep telling us!
(personal opinion and not a club statement
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Segregation
Be interesting to see the club's response (excuses), as a few have mentioned just lucky that nothing serious happened ,somebody bottled or punched then falling into metal pole or concrete step (you get the picture!).
If there's no response I'll definitely be contacting the club because yesterday's event's cannot be allowed to happen again!

Re: Segregation
Club has to take some responsibility for sure but the main blame is with their fans for acting like cock heads. If they had behaved themselves there would have been no trouble. Plenty of non segregated games have gone without a hint of trouble this season where the away fans have been well behaved and decent supporters. It's a shame in this day and age this sort of shit still happens but it does and the club has to do its homework properly next time. Maybe Macclesfield will dish out some bans but I wouldn't hold my breath.blue nige wrote:Be interesting to see the club's response (excuses), as a few have mentioned just lucky that nothing serious happened ,somebody bottled or punched then falling into metal pole or concrete step (you get the picture!).

Re: Segregation
The behaviour of some of our fans was unacceptable, however surely segregation should have been put in place first? It didn't help that the Barrow fans were retaliating to the "town full of racists" chant by squaring up to our fans, thus provoking them. Without segregation that was always going to happen.
I'd like to thank the 15+ barrow yooves though that ran up to the side of the railway to bid me farewell, albeit with "V"'s instead of the traditional wave, thought that was nice!

Re: Segregation
I thought the Barrow fans were very restrained given the provocation. Shame games need to be segregated - bit of banter is ok but this racist crap touched a raw nerve..

Obviously in this instance actions were indeed louder than words!!!silkman125 wrote:The behaviour of some of our fans was unacceptable, however surely segregation should have been put in place first? Re: Segregation
I wouldn't be expecting any reply Nige as the clubs previous history on things like this is not to say anything particularly as it was soon apparent it should have been segregated and could easily have been by the stewards moving the Macc fans into the segregated area.blue nige wrote:Be interesting to see the club's response (excuses), as a few have mentioned just lucky that nothing serious happened ,somebody bottled or punched then falling into metal pole or concrete step (you get the picture!).

It's also ironic that the next game is Wrexham who's fans have ran onto the pitch at 3 of their previous 5 games here and the police have not taken any action against them - why can away fans do that without punishment? Will be interesting to see how they are dealt with but expect Wrexham fans to be running around the pitch and us to be blamed for it whatever happens.

Re: Segregation
Can we define what "give it the large one" means and precisely what this entails please?stilltheman wrote:correct john. wrexham always give it the large one at barrow. if in shout with play off could bring a few up giving it the mouth. hardly highlight of my life wintergreen.

Re: Segregation
I can only assume "give it the large one" is slang for "he paid with a £50 note"Steeley wrote:I think they went in the Barrow Arms oncegeobarrovian wrote:
