Letting them wannabes in with beer in hand, some already obviously drunk, a day when there was more kids there then has been all season? No way I can believe they were taken as Barrow support. The club got lucky because if there had been some of the more savoury characters in attendence, then things could have been a lot different. It can't happen again and be left to chance, not if this club is to move fwd and climb up the leagues

It's a non story. They are considering it, not implementing it- it's clear no one, either club or police had a clue, so this article is pretending to think about definitely doing something. IMO, the majority are better segregated but of course if Borehamwood bring 15 it's stupid to do so. It's about knowing the supports- there's really not much excuse.

Personally, I think we should segregate all games. It was only a matter of time before something like this was going to happen. We learn from this and do something about it. Allow away fans into our bar/mingle with the home fans, much like we have done on our travels. When it comes to the match itself, and inside the ground, house them all in the same area.

It used to be much better when away fans were shoved at the cross bar end. Upset the corporate guests though so will never happen again

I know this keeps getting mentioned but it's obviously a headache to the club. I too always thought the away supporters should be shoved on the West terrace but after it has been looked at by two seperate BoDs there has to be a real problem with it. Corporates are an important part of bringing money into any club so some consideration has to be given to them....imagine people having to walk through that bunch last Saturday. I know people on the HSE also shouldn't of had to put up with it either - there was obviously a balls up with the non segregation in the first place.
There are problems at most other areas around the ground as well but I still think the best spot is the North corner of the main stand to the corner of the HSE, that is more than enough for most teams at this level, if more are predicted then take the area up to the scaffolding poles.

No one is arsed about the HSE when its raining anyway, hasnt been a 'home end' for donkeys years, maybe the size of the chunk they get could be reduced, or the size of the scaffolding maybe, but i dont buy the HSE for Barrow fans lark.

Said the same thing the last time this topic came around. If it was the Reservoir End or something no one would be arsed.

Swap the existing scaffolding for a more permanent structure and that's it done.

Couldn't get to the game but surprised to read that Macc brought more than their usual 'skateboard' few.

I wouldn't blame the Stewards - from what I've seen on match days most of them look like bits of kids or old guys - not the kinda men who would be able to deal with trouble makers. However, I've just taken a look at the evening mail's photo of the Macc fans - they're not exactly Soul Crew or ICF are they?

Segregation? Yeah...shove em in by the corner flag - between the Crossbar End and the Main Stand.
