for example ask the club to send a message on the tannoy asking people to come on here to donate or even go round with a bucket

could even ask the mail to put a little paragraph at the end of a match report asking fans to donate, could help boost the fund and give this site some large scale exposure ;)
just a thought
Tannoy is worth a shout, something i'll ask about on Tuesday.

With regards to the bucket - you volunteering? :)

And the mail have also contacted me wanting a quick word about it, so hopefully they'll give is a bit of exposure too :D

Many thanks Mr C, money recieved and added to the total.
Ant - a great gesture, many thanks!

With the YJM shirt money included in, we're now on £2700 - can we get another big push and smash that £3k barrier? Keep it coming guys!

Come on everyone else who couldn't make it (not because of financial reasons) there's your lead.
To make you sleep easier at night throw a fiver in.

Great gesture btw ant.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Another £35 pledged today, bringing the total to just below £2600, not including the cash for YJMs shirt, which if included would put us at £2760.

Fantastic effort by everyone so far - can we have another big push and make it to that £3000 mark? Every little helps, even if it's a couple of quid because you couldn't make it to the game today or whatever, it all goes to our total.

Phil,

In yesterday's programme, Martin announced there will be a sponsors eveing on Friday 27th April when the draws will take place, I would hazard a guess that the cut off date will be then.

Does the NWEMail make a contribution every time it "borrows" a story from this forum?

No, they just add another 10th of a penny to the price of their paper. How much has it gone up this year, again?

Including the money from Jacks shirt auction, we're now currently at £2825!

Just spoke to our very own general builder Andrew Leitch (whos number is 474950 if you ever need building work undertaken by the way!), who's kindly said that if we reach £2900, he'll add £100 to get us over that elusive £3000 mark.

That's yet another superb pledge to go with all the fantastic work everyones put in so far, keep going guys. If 15 people chuck a fiver in, that will put us over that £3k line!
