we will be (depending on who comes and goes down) probably one of the better supported teams in BSN .. a few wins and a bit of effort on the marketing side of things and i can't see why we can't prosper.PerthBluebird wrote:I can't see how you think we can prosper in the BSN crowd attendances are going to go down meaning lower funds coming in

I hope what you says happens, I really do our marketing is awful and needs sorting out ASAP not having shirts for sale and to play in at the start of season is a joke we need to sort the basics.Bingo wrote:we will be (depending on who comes and goes down) probably one of the better supported teams in BSN .. a few wins and a bit of effort on the marketing side of things and i can't see why we can't prosper.PerthBluebird wrote:I can't see how you think we can prosper in the BSN crowd attendances are going to go down meaning lower funds coming in

In his after match interview Bayliss said that some of the players had stabbed him in the back His words.Jonty wrote:If Bayliss is here next season he needs to put a team together liKe the one who got us promoted. Is the position of 'Chief Scout' available for Mr. Wilson?Reg wrote:He never found them in the first place.Jonty wrote:If Bayliss is here next season he needs to put a team together liKe the one who got us promoted. He needs to find these sort of players again.

Nobody on the BOD have ever said they want BSN football, it was the evening mail with very lazy journalism and intentionally misquoting. Exactly, and watch the Mail crucify us next week, that pete on the beat column was taking the p... last week.
The only people who will prosper from relegation is the consistent anti-BODs/club. Be constructive or change the tune.

This season has been a shambles off the pitch tho and I know its been hard with lower crowds but do believe a lot of this is down to how the club have organised themselves. We always seem to keep making the same mistakes we need to make sure that we come back stronger.
so for the last game of the season next week how about anouncing season ticket prices for next year and getting them on sale ....
I take my hat off to all the organisations involved with Barrow AFC in helping to raise money and all the work the volunteers do. I am proud and to be part of the Barrow AFC family and we will all be back next season .. who ever we play and where ever I'll always be a Barrow fan.

How on earth can you say we should be guaranteed a play off finish for christs sake !.Always Ultra wrote:Four thoughts...
1) I honestly think we'll be better off pound-for-pound; for morale, money and attendance figures; next season due to an increased number of local derby games and the fact that we should be guaranteed, at least, a play-off finish.
2) Bayliss should stay.
3) It about time the BOD got out of the way and stopped holding the club back.
4) I'd like to see a new side built around the Peos, Owen, Ruthers and Skelton. Basically, the longer serving and more committed players, and/or the ones that would be compatible with playing on a lower standard of pitches against more...shall we say "agricultural"...opposition. The likes of Boyes are saleable assets and it might be hard to justify the wage spend needed to retain players like Hurst.
