Encouraging stuff from TK.
Hinting that the players/manager need to integrate themselves with the town more was particularly encouraging, although in the short term, I'm not sure how that is practical, long term, it absolutely has to be the direction in which the club goes.
He also mentioned the academy set-up in passing.
Two things I have been banging on about forever and it was music to my ears!

Yes positive stuff, but the challenge for the BoD is to make sure its not just hot air and actually do something about it.Reg wrote:Encouraging stuff from TK.

We've heard it all before but sadly nothing ever changes and none of it ever gets beyond saying the right things on the radio. It absolutely has to going forward now though.

Yep was just about to say. Tony is a very genuine, intelligent and articulate guy. He says alot of good things and always fills you with hope. The problem is translating all these good ideas and positive vibes into actual solid actions which for all the talk has been somewhat missing recently.

+1 I have no doubt that he and the rest of the bod have ours and the clubs best interests in board. Hopefully it happens this pre seasonSte Story wrote:Yep was just about to say. T Cassidy is way off on the expected Holker St crowds if doing well next season 1500 /2000
Good words from TK but..............we have heard very similar before & the proof of the pudding is in the eating, I for one would love TK to back up his rhetoric with action.

At least Mad Russell can hold on to a lead easier than BAFC

I think 1200+ crowds are definitely possible if we're playing exciting football and doing well, how many did we have for that last home game vs Wourcester to make it into the playoffs?Mike Wilson wrote:T Cassidy is way off on the expected Holker St crowds if doing well next season 1500 /2000![]()

iirc it was 1600 ish
Re: BBC Sport phone in- worth a listen
It is only my opinion before anyone starts, Tony Keen talks a good talk but now is the time for change, time for honesty all round. No more informing the select few, inform all, especially members, be honest, and accept help.
everyone is entitled to their opinion, deal with it
Re: BBC Sport phone in- worth a listen
The crowds are there *if* we are doing well and playing nice football, we won't achieve 2000 home fans unless we are doing this consistently and in bsn I doubt we could average that but if we built right we can hit the floor running and when we return to the bsp we can be in a position to maintain the fan base promotion will bring in
Go and finish your dinner [SwearFilter] face!

Re: BBC Sport phone in- worth a listen
what are your views on next seasons ticket prices? Would you be happy to pay the same as this season if it gives the manager a budget to compete for the best part timers and hopefully a good team.
If we drop prices then what are we trying to achieve? We need a budget to compete for the play offs from hopefully crowds of 900-1000+. what do you reckon?
What are your expectations?
