Re: 1990 Trophy Line-up
Gary Messenger was cup tied, I think. He'd played for someone tinpot in an earlier round.
Re: 1990 Trophy Line-up
Weren't you only allowed to name two subs in those days? Think Gilmour and Burgess were the only subs, and both got on.
Mick Clousdale was physio at that time.

I thought Farrell was brilliant that day, if that was him in the middle spraying balls to both sides - fair haired bloke...was that him?
Anyway, we absolutely GRACED that turf, that day. Glorious memories.

Mike Cloudsdale is a relative of mine, mams cousins husband. Nice bloke, bit of a nutter on the pitch in his day I'm told.

Re: 1990 Trophy Line-up
Not really, players are fitter and therefore more injury prone these days, so more more subs and competion needed. Hardly any of that team would have made it it in this era.ruins wrote:

McDonnell.
Higgins.
Gordon.
Skivvy.
Lowe.
Doc.
Proccy.
Gilmour.
Cowp's.
How many of them wouldn't walk into our team right now? That's nearly a full team (& I've probably missed out a couple) I'd take back right now!
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
