Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Half of the skrill north sign needs to go back up before saturdays game as we may be getting a visit from the sponsors.
Up to now me and Ian are going to do it on friday but also if anyone down this week, can they either, have a go at getting it up or if not, move the half sign to the maintenance workshop in case the club shut up on friday...either way let us know please.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Regarding the Skrill sign that has come down, we're hoping to get it put back up tomorrow at about 5:00pm. We think we might need two people up a pair of ladders holding the sign up with someone else up a third ladder drilling.
If the weather is fine is there anyone available to give us a hand at that time?
I think the urgency is because someone from Skrill will be at the ground this weekend.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Ground Maintenance Area
sorry gents I wont be able to help, in Carlisle for some training. hope all goes well.
Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Why bother? They're pulling out at the end of the season anyway. What's the worst they can do if we don't have the precious sponsor's sign up?spirit of 1990 wrote:I think the urgency is because someone from Skrill will be at the ground this weekend.
No bubblewrap unpopped.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
I have no idea bud & believe me I have better things to be doing on a Tuesday evening but the club have asked us to put it up so I suppose it must be important. As Richard says, there might be some form of penalty attached to not displaying the sponsor.Arvo wrote:Why bother? They're pulling out at the end of the season anyway. Ian RVJ has offered to help us tomorrow so we're covered now.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Thanks to the 2 Ians(rainford and curruthers)........the rain stopped and the sign went up...I just got there a little late!!!!
The new bandsaw now fully operational and tested with guards back in place....this was part of the garage donation but not had time to check out but Mike Forsyth managed to get a new belt made and it cut its first piece of wood last night to make a new shovel rack by the workshop door instead of tripping over a pile of them as you enter.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
An early reminder for anyone interested, we'll be having a visit to the ground this Sunday morning.
Desperate for a spark or two, we could also do with a couple of people who are not a bad standard at painting. The two areas we need finishing off paint-wise are the first aid room (still) & the two new counters in the shop on the pop side.
Plenty of other jobs around the place to be cracking on with, so if you can spare a couple of hours we'll be opening up at 9:00am.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Just like buses you wait for one &.............
We were struggling to get anyone do do the painting in the pop side shop & first aid room then today I get a call off Nicola (?) who is one of the painting tutors at Furness college & we look as though we've got up to six of her students coming down on Sunday - all volunteering.
Also had an e-mail off Julie at A4e & they have a couple of lads coming down.
As usual we start anytime after 9:00am for anyone else who is interested, Exile won't be here this week so any semi-pro litter pickers are also welcome......Biggest fans & Jonty's old crew!!!!
