Another example of 'well I've got what I want - a nice lucrative contract -and can now sit back' ?

Had the opportunity to sign for Wrexham a league above so what does that tell you about how we ended up getting him ahead of them!!!! ££££££££££££ talks. For a guy of his experience and the level he's played at he's been my biggest let down by a long way but he's not alone, several big non league names have been major dissappointing, but they still get there brown envelopes every week out of PC's account so they can rest easy!!!!!!!!!

Long way to go but i don't think we'll be top again this season.
Alternatively that game in hand is against guiseley so even if they don't capitalise it let's guiseley leapfrog us. Fair to assume both Fylde and Guiseley won't keep their foot on the gas right until the end but can't see both of them doing it and letting us back into the driving seat any time soon.

Shows you how bad xmas has been for us.

Fylde got 12 from a possible 12

We got 2 from 12

Thats startling enough right there

Let's just hope we look back on it as a blip, come the end of the season. But the opinions of the folks who go and watch regularly don't offer much promise.

The criticism livesy and grandy are getting is unfair in my view the midfield give very little protection to those lads , the midfield is the key area it wasn't good enough last season so shock horror its not good enough this season for our side going for promotion , ledsham is a quality player but needs a ball winner experienced head along with him then in my eyes we would be a very good side but without our 2 wingers fit pilks and Reid we are average at best , can't handle pace running at us again the airfield needs sorting i trust edmo and we Will still go up .. always a bluebird..

Just seen the goals from Hyde the two back passes from Cowperthwaite are truly awful.

Comedy of errors - the 4 goals conceded were all arguably gifts from individual mistakes- two from Cowps, the corner should have been a 'keeper's ball and I think McMillan seemed to react late with the free kick. On the other hand, our four were well worked and well taken goals.

The problem isn't so much the midfield not being good enough to win the ball and cover the defenders, it's more that the frequency of the ball coming straight back at the defence is stupidly high because THEY keep lumping it over our midfielders to oppo defenders who know exactly what is coming and can cope with it before firing it straight back at Grand and co. They are the architects of their own downfall! Use the midfield to get the play upfield ffs!
Back in Duncan Ferguson's day at Everton it was exactly the same thing. Same as they do with Cooky now, all they had to do was play the second man. They aren't going to beat Cooky to the header but they just have to cover the other players around him.
The way the team is playing now shows a frightening lack of imagination and it is not at all surprising that Grand and Livesy are under constant pressure.
Get the ball down, get your head up...look for the damned easy ball. Save the long ball for when there is a break on...not when there are four oppo defenders just waiting for it.

Our midfield 2 are no where near comfortable enough on the ball to take the ball of our defenders we are outplayed in this area time and again by pacey well drilled sides our sheer strength up front covers over the cracks in this area in my opinion the forwards create their own chances while the midfield sits 20 yards back ( not demanding the ball of the centre halfs )..
