What time tomorrow afternoon.spirit of 1990 wrote:Would anyone be available to give us a hand tomorrow afternoon for half an hour? probably from 1:00pm. We need to get the stage out of the way & back into the GMA but it's a bit of a lump.
Could do with another two or three pairs of hands really.

We thought of doing that as we built it Mike but as it was a bit of a rush we decided the quickest way was in one piece knowing full well it was going to be a nightmare to shift.
We cant really do that now anyway 1/No time tomorrow. 2/It's carpeted and cant really be split now.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Ground Maintenance Area
To be fair it held the whole team management physio and paul at the awards night definately well made by the lads but I can't understand why it cannot stay in there. It's what a function room should have. Anyway I'll be there 12 .45

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
We tried one more time persuading them that it was a good idea to leave the stage in there......they weren't having it
Myself, Mark Mc, Craig, Gareth, IRVJ & mrsenario managed to get it back safely into the GMA until next years Conference Prem (national or whatever) champions awards

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Suggestion. Let whoever insisted on it being removed be responsible for putting it back if needed any other time.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
More of a heads up session this morning...chances of pressbox work scuppered with a large crowd in for the junior finals so ian , red van joiner witty and pete nicholls looked at 2 areas coming up. Firstly the store room for the trust needs a new door to outside and racking for stock.
Secondly they discovered electrical problems in trying to satisfy the requirements for the directors room upgrade in the main stand
Meanwhile myself and our new building volunteer curtiss edwards started undercoating woodwok in the directors rooms , theres a healthy list to go at for this years summer programme

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Get Ant Wilson on board for the electricals as that is his trade.
There's quite a few things need addressing in the Board Rooms.
For one thing the area for serving the food is unsuitable. Everything is crammed in the one place because of the electrical sockets making it difficult to operate efficiently. Quite a lot of sorting out of cupboards crammed with crockery etc that is never used. A table full of glasses of which about half a dozen are used at any one time.
Good Luck lads.

Being an out of towner so to speak is there going to be any development of the stadium itself over the summer months as I seemed to have heard nothing on that front.

Re: Ground Maintenance Area
Sunday morning reminder 9.00am, few extra inside and outside painting jobs cropped up and also the new sign up in the dressing room for the 2014 2015 vanarama league champions which looks magnificent, also some damage on an exit gate so if its a nice morning pop along even just for a chat to stop those who want to work from working...thats what makes it so good!!!!
Re: Ground Maintenance Area
A fair amount off jobs knocked off the list this morning in what turned out to be a productive session.
Curtiss edwards did the gloss work in the directors room which now hides the old varnish fixtures, I managed to fix the exit gates at the away fans section before helping Ian fit the new 2014-2015 champions sign in the dressing room. I must say the evening mail images and graphix design have done a great job.
ian and witty got the top section of drain pipe on at the west end of the stand. After witty checking the electrics we discovered this drainpipe causing the tripping out so only the mid section to fit to solve a host of problems.
ian also fitted the home dressing room sign to the new dressing room door.
meanwhile ian Curruthers and pete nichols made the frames and boards to complete the press box to push this nearer completion.
the new display fridge for the trust shop got tested and the new photo copier moved to the trust office to complete a busy 3 hours
