Funny place, fair play to the very nice folk there battling against an indifferent town full of Villa fans- however the pitch was ridiculous, the Park Leisure Centre one is better (same sort with all those little black plastic bits). I quite liked being 'caged' behind the net second half

Awful game of football where not much happened, especially first half. Their centre halves coped quite well with Cooky. We looked ponderous and not too interested. Half time we perked up a bit and fitness started to tell but they had a great chance with a free header and had they scored I don't think we'd have turned it round. A long way away it didn't look a pen to me but who knows? They probably deserved a draw. Fair play to PC as most of us wouldn't have taken a hardworking Jason Walker off and put on VDB, but he put himself about to good effect and the finish was excellent.

Very pleasant bus home, it's the first Barrow win I've seen this season!

'Consistency of mentality'
'The games all about winning'
'Structure and organisation'
"Grab the club by the scruff of the neck'

That'll do me.

Was a very enjoyable day the lady in the tea hut even tried to order in meat and potato pies sadly she couldn't source any but the steak ones were lovely.

Locals were friendly as well.

Poor game of football but we won thats all that matters.

Abit of moaning when VDB came on for Walker but it paid off.

Lincoln away next week will be another tough test hopefully we make it 3 wins in a row

Coxy's interview is peppered with key words and phrases like "consistent" "professional" "discipline" "organised" "difficult to beat". This, after the shambles of the last few months is music to my ears. It's very early days yet, and mostly theoretical at this point, but if this guy can deliver as well as he talks, we'll have a solid platform to take the club forwards. I'm liking what I see and hear so far.

Mmmm...I'd rather hear key words and phrases such as: 'entertaining', 'creative', 'attacking', 'passionate', 'spirited display'...

To be fair to edmo he usually spoke a lot of sense but unfortunately he didn`t put into practice what he said and that was one of his failings!

We'll see.
Let's face it,this was a game we would of lost if Edmo was in charge. The man who always changed the team and played players out of position. !!!!
With a depleted team we have won 2 on the bounce.
Playing on an artificial pitch to a team 2 leagues below us with 3 players missing. I would of took a replay before the game.
Excellent move bringing in Cox. I expect wholesale changes in January. Out with the dross and in with the new. Everyone now playing for their Barrow futures. No more picking "my mates". If you don't perform your out.
Ground development moving forward in January too. The futures bright....

Steady on. One of the first players brought in was a lad who has played for Cox before, he tried to get another one in Meikle too.

All managers prefer players they know and trust compared to unknowns so let's not blow too much smoke up his arse.

Excellent start to his reign though, long may it continue.

I was thinking myself that we probably would be out of the Trophy if yesterday's tie had been played a month ago. Losing games we were expected to win became a bad habit under Edmo's reign. As for wanting entertaining football, of course we all want that, but the first building block surely is to make yourself organised and difficult to beat. Hopefully the rest will follow. Whether it will or not remains to be seen, but for now I'll settle for getting the team to wise up.

I'd like to see Cookie and VdB start together up front - might just work.
