Harvey walks acolytes as usual and much improved Howarth.Wobble spoilt clean sheet but four good goals by different people.Halifax supported brilliant sang for their team in rain all game even when four nil down and sorry chaps I didn't mind the drum ( wasn't next to it tho)! Halifax were never four nil down, it was 3 - 1 at one point.

I think a number of our players have had something surgically inserted into their anuses. We look a different team now. Whatever Cox is putting in the tea is working a treat. Very satisfying win and performance from the whole team.

Solid performances all round. The work rate of this side is very very high. Walker rolled back the years today and his all round contribution in this game was fantastic. Good goal and pleased for him to get MoM. Harvey though- put in another good performance and he made numerous important tackles today to break up play and win back possession, one in particular on the edge of the 18 yard line winning the ball and bringing it up field. Great game from him today.

Whole hearted support for your team should not have to include 95 minutes of relentless beating drum. Earache, and impossible to shut out. Almost spoiled a perfect afternoon.
A word about the officials - The Ref was OK, lenient in the 1st half then stamped authority in 2nd with deserved yellows. The pair of panty Liners seemed to favour Barrow with marginal decisions - may be wrong but being dead in line I thought that Walker's goal could have been given off-side, and a dead ball which me, and all the Halifax team thought a corner was signalled a goal kick. Mini decisions that can have a massive affect on the eventual result.
ARH's ball winning tackles to break up dangerous attacks, coming out with the ball to facilitate an immediate counter attack, were superb, but why can't he show that level of commitment every match?

There was no sarcasm in my post I didn't hear anything announced over the tannoy about ARH'S number of appearances and that's why I stated shame he was overlooked twice - if it was announced fair enough

I think today showed exactly where we are under Cox - he has cut out the areas we were weak and conceding under Edmo's reign: We don't play out from the back anymore - an area we constantly struggled with and ended up putting ourselves under pressure. We look more organised at defending set pieces etc.

We look a hard team to beat at the moment, hopefully he'll be able to add some quality to the midfield (no disrespect to the effort the lads are putting in) to take us forward.

Had a newbie with me today, 1st time EVER through the gates at HS, she loved it and will be back.. hope we havent spoilt her!!
