We really need to take a look at the way we support our club on here, and him,im pretty sick of the constant negativity he spews about everything Barrow football,so much, im gonna take a break from it.

That seems like a massive stab in the dark to me. How do you know any of that?

I guess what I struggle with is the strange reaction the club has to a few comments on a football forum.

Jokes have been made in the past about the club reacting to things that are suggested on this site - especially around social media and the website.

Whether a statement should have been made or not is probably a moot point and you can argue both ways. The question really is why after a few heated comments on the forum the club feels it needs to react. It should have its own policy on these types of things e.g. statements, use of social media for comms etc. communicate the policy and then stick to it.

There's a lot of inconsistency - that's all I'm saying.

I will tell you why because now unlike 10 years ago we actually have a representative on the board who uses this forum. Someone that we can direct questions toward and in circumstances ( like these) where the board/club ordinarily might not make a statement we can get one from them. that for me is the evolution of ourselves as a club. This needs to be put to bed A A Ron and his mutinous chums are having a field day here. The two things I take from this are flattery that teams want our gaffer this shows we are headed in the right direction. And also confidence in the fact that our owner actually knows what he is doing he isn't here day to day and he can't deny Paul Cox the right to speak to potential suitors. But i tell you what a hefty release fee doesn't half neutralize most of those offers before they've even been sent. And practically do that job for him.

A fair comment in respect of both the forum and the buy out clause.

Fat Azalea shows no overt support for this club at all.
It's all criticism. Everything. Incessantly.
Pedro is exactly the same.
Most things written, supposedly fact, are based on guesswork or "my sources say" - pull the other one.
Personally I wish you'd both just shut up for a bit, or prove that you actually SUPPORT the club.

It's about free speech .
I've followed the club for nearly 50 years and seen the many lows and few highs.
Anyone should have a right to say what they think.
Yes Paul Casson has saved the club and we have moved on but you have to take chances to and it's quite obvious a recruitment drive in January would have given us a good chance of promotion.
My statements are based on actions not rumour.

Whatever reason Paul Cox was not funded listen to some of the radio interviews.
I said in December Cassons action in January would shows his intent.
Towards the end of the season Paul Cox had been given another script to read ,we have done exceptional well ,people do not realise how far we have come ,well he who pays the piper andall that.
No not going to start being a happy clapper.
This season will be interesting!

More money, bigger budget to spend, bigger club. Simple, really.

Hope he stays, mind.
Hartlepool do NOT have a lot of money and it could be argued are NOT a bigger club...

Theres been 56 managerial casualties in the football league this year. Nowhere near 104 suggested. Quite a large amount are managers joining other sides.

Not sure how Moribund knows who gets interviews at every job that becomes availible

Well for a start, the football season is only 9 months long, and I'm discounting all the summer months where barely any managers depart. During the season, from September until the start of May, I reckon it will be close to two managerial changes each week. How many of those end up with a manager coming in direct from another club? Certainly not an insignificant number. There WILL also be many more interviewed for each of those jobs, or at least permission will be sought to speak to them. If you don't believe that's the case, then you're worryingly naive.
The point is, that this happens plenty, but you very rarely see a club have to put out a statement that their manager has turned down offers elsewhere. I mostly blame whoever was fuelling the fire from Hartlepool's end, but people on twitter and on here definitely haven't helped.

So basically its an assumption based on absolutely nothing.

If you are asking me directly it's a request to stop the incessant carping about something or other, and demonstrate some positive energy towards the club. Something which overtly supports the manager and the chairman.

Paul Cox is staying........... for now." A Fist Full Of Dollars" and he'll walk. NO manager or owner can be trusted. It's just fact. Shut this thread down, it's run it"s course.
