I must listen to different commentary to most because imo andy wood does his job and does it well - gives unbiased commentary and if a player is playing awful he says he is - I don't hear him constantly slating anyone

I'd rather listen to that than someone saying how wonderful we are when we are not or someone with his head too far up the managers arse that's for sure

Back with a point... Gomis the pick for me today gets about the pitch as much as anybody. To much space in behind the 2 wing backs... white off the pace but likes the look off cockerline in his brief cameo...hope they sort out there stewarding issues... 100 or so fans from both teams drinking together at half time will always lead to trouble!

No problems with the penalty, naive though after the official only moments earlier having a stern word or two for wrestling in the box. Second goal we were at sixes and sevens at the back, but still a decent strike from Cheek.

It would be harsh to criticize at this early stage, as we showed desire and rolled our sleave up and battled for the most part without having the necessary guile to provide enough chances.

It looks like it's going to take a few weeks for this squad to gel and maybe a bit of swapping and changing will occur before the manager gets the balance right and maybe a player or two still to be added so patience will be needed.

A good day out in the capitol socialising. Happy that the football will sort itself out.

We appreciate all comments regards our coverage and yes as supporters we may be slightly biased however do try to be as neutral as possible.

Regards the coverage our club gets some people don't realise how lucky we have to get the media access we do
People arent always going to agree but that is the wonders of football.

To put it in to perpesctive.
Dagenham as bigger club as they are had no coverage at all today and are likely to get none all season as bbc essex are concentrating on Leyton Orient.

We are not setup as a rival to radio cumbria, far from it. We are there to offer a different view if people want it.
Radio Cumbria do a great job and as for Andy Wood he's a great lad who has always given me advice when needed and does a great job.

We are very privelidged to have 2 radio stations offering LIVE commentary of Barrow Games up and down the country. Long may it continue

Someone to do a Shez sorta job would do for me (pre burger incident), Gav Skelton was similar when he came along, Paul Jones was another.

I really don't think you are the only one on here who's neutral mate. I praised Gomis, Yussuf, ARH Dunne and Diarra but was critical of others. We all have an opinion and this forum as many know is full of negativity, with rare glimpses of positivity!.. You do a great job and many are thankful for that and RC and we are indeed lucky to have as much coverage as we do.

My assessment of the game, which was based on my opinion without hearing commentary prompted a bizarre outburst from GT Blue. No one is knocking your commentary, keep it up. No nipping in the bud required.

If you were the one who 'dissed' Gomis, or it was Andy Wood all I can say is I disagree.

I think yesterday's game highlighted the difference between a team who has made wholesale changes during the summer and barely player with each other, compared to a team who have kept the majority of their squad and only made shrewd additions in certain positions. They were on it from the off, and capitalised on our rustiness. No complaints with their penalty (in fact, they should've had another one for handball in the first half) and pretty woeful defending for their 2nd gave them a deserved lead. We were better in the 2nd half, and created a few opportunities to equalise towards the end. Right team won on the day, though.
Dagenham will do well again this year - I expect them to compete for automatic promotion. 2-1 away isn't the worst of starts for us and I think we have a strong possibility of getting 9 points from our next 3 games.

Aii, we just looked like a team who've never met whereas they looked like a team that at least knew each others names. Were better drilled, knew their jobs and each other and were simply just a bit better than us tbh...

Penalty was definitely a penalty, Audel didn't attempt to play or even look at the ball, just took the man as he went past him.

Not gonna judge any of the players after just one game tbh, we got better as a team in the second half and did ok, could have snatched an on balance undeserved draw at the end.
