I think the poor [SwearFilter] who went tonight ended up second best. Performance not befitting of that away support.

A terrible game between two poor teams - Fylde defended well and somehow had two people on every one of our attacking players.

Bauress was poor again, and could hardly get a cross in. Barthram was useless tonight, Hughes a massive (pun intended) waste of a substitution, Makoma looked a bit weak and got skinned three times in the first 15 mins, White anonymous, Jones very hit and miss.

Yussuf was crowded out every time he got the ball, and should have done better when one on one, but took an extra touch - he was our only real outlet, so with him struggling it's no wonder we barely troubled their keeper (another strange choice for man of the match).

Yussuf only had a couple of chances but each time wanted that extra touch & lost the ball, harsh to criticize him though as at least he worked harder than most on that pitch tonight.

I'd be seriously worried if the majority of the budget has been spent on that lot, bar a couple of them there simply not good enough, the inability to put a couple of passes together is laughable. Fylde weren't much better to be fair but credit to them they look a club who have got a plan where they want to be in a few years we just seem to be drifting atm.

As others have said the first sub was bizarre in terms of who it was and the timing. It was noticeable that we dropped off about 5 yards and lost any shape and width we had thus handing the attacking impetus to Fylde for the next 15-20 mins.

Almost smacked of a manager trying to make a change just to try and look clever.

Awful performance. Moore at fault for the goal. Amount of posts slating our players on here is a bit OTT though I think, chill out.

Letting Cox go was just a god awful decision.

Think your doing the guy a disservice, he was fairly decent for us overall, just prone to the odd brain fart and when he did have one it was usually monumental.

Decent set up at AFC F ylde very good sports bar. Decent terrace behind the goal where we could generate a pretty good atmosphere, catering facilities were decent too.
As to the game we huffed and puffed but I
don't think we would have scored if we had ninety minutes of extra time. It was just one of those nights when the harder you tried the worse it became, in all honesty there wasn't much between either side, fine margins for the most part.
Shame we didn't have that cutting edge when it mattered most. Midfield was bypassed so ARH and Gomis looked passengers as did Bauress. But sometimes you have to go backwards to go forward, here's hoping that was the case.
Proud of our support though they did the club proud, top effort!!

Grant Holt has been taking his EUFA Coaching badges on a course based in Northern Ireland also on that course and at the same level as him is Peter Murphy who was recently appointed the manager at Annan Athletic so i would imagine that would mean that Holt badges wise would also be in a position to accept a managers job.

Last night we watched a very expensive assembled side lose against another poor side.
Both teams were dire and I expect both teams to be lower half of the table. Need an experienced manager in ASAP.
Grant Holt would be worth a punt for me and them missing fans would be back....
A mini clear out needed. Start with ARH, Hughes, White, & Harry.

I actually think this side has got some potential. Most are Paul Cox's signing's and he seemed to know a good player when he saw one (unless you really believe they were all signed without his consent??). What we saw last night was a team without a plan and without any guidance from a manager they trust! We need a new manager, quickly!

Moore is clearly not the man for the job given we've nicked a point against a part-time Maidenhead and got beat by a very poor Fylde during his tenure so far! Expect more of the same on Saturday unless a new experienced manager is brought in before then.

Grant Holt isn't the answer IMHO. This newly assembled team is in turmoil at the moment and I think we need an experienced head to come in to steady the ship and bring the discipline the team needs.

There's definitely a decent core to the team with the likes Diarra, Gomis, Youssuf, Harrison and Jones. But, Hughes is clearly overweight and unfit, and some would argue not good enough for this level. Bauress is too light weight and seems to just drift through games which means we're very poor on the wings. A fact Fylde identified and used to their advantage all night when they allowed Bauress to be unmarked on goal kicks so they could double-up on White!

Sort out a couple of decent wingers to replace the attacking threat we used to have from Williams (and Anderton to some degree) and i don't think we'll be that far from a decent side.
