Exactly, why it needs to take so long I don't know. The need for a proper manager is urgent, it needs to happen now.

And people would soon complain if recruitment was not done thoroughly with shortlisting and interviews.

The people behind the scenes need to take a long look at themselves!!"

People seem to forget that. He did great. Then left us in the mire. Now we need to bloody move on and get Barrow AFC back into shape.

Wasn't treated by the club as if he was the best manager in non league. Ogden was treated as the messiah though and even he went! Obviously a reason

We have full time professional players who are earning a good wage, if that isn't enough to put in 100 percent effort i don't know what is.

Pre match ratio Cumbria were slagging off Barrow fans for having a go at club officials at games, but whatever your view and whats right and wrong if you spend a lot of money and effort travelling up and down the country frustrations boil over.

It's not going to change overnight need a new Manager in.
We need to get a decent centre forward white not up to it,Bauress poor.
Not sure why Dixon replaced Moore who did nothing wrong but was dropped so hopefully a change will be made when we play Chester
A new Manager will have to be given funds to buy a decent centre forward, midfielder and centre half.

A team full of Mancs and Scousers that scrap for everything put graft over fancy touches and "nice" football.

This is the National League not the Premiership, nice football in this division gets you nowhere.

Why Byron Harrison ?

Because I had a bit of a go at him last season. Away at Tranmere I was getting train back to Crewe and had a bit of a wait so went for a coffee in Costa- Byron and another not sure if akil Wright were having a discussion along the lines of oh well it’s only a cup match not the league blah de blah and Byron went on to say how shit the league was and we need to get out of it. Thing is all the shit teams he mentioned beat barrow last year. Also they were going on about a player, no names, who thought he was better than everyone and deserved to be in team every week - needless to say I let him carry on for a while and then told him what a disgrace he was after the display I’d just watched where the players were bloody awful etc and how if those teams were shit how bad were we
Was disgusted how he was talking in a public place about team mates and clubs in general
My attitude towards him then went right down then and tbh hasn’t changed - get the chip off your shoulder and realise the club is where it is and down to the players that step on that pitch

Fair enough if thats what you heard.

Not had a problem with Byron myself, but sometimes frustrations get the better of everyone and that includes players.

However, the football is shite and 7th isn't good enough.

Why keep sticking things like that in.....he was never going to stay! He wanted away and he's gone, and not for the reasons some would have you believe.

Cant blame Hornby for anything that happened this afternoon who was animated on the touchline. I thought a bit like Moore he selected his squad to fit into the "right" formation on the pitch and expected it to function. In that respect the performance was (to an extent) pretty competent, especially box-to-box. However no passion, no incisiveness, no real fight. poor attitudes and a malaise that you could almost smell shows how bad things currently are. Two Barrow goals were virtual gimmees but hope realistically lasted for 5 minutes after the first equaliser after which they withered and died.

There's a paradox about this team. At the moment I doubt there's many teams looking much more like relegation fodder than us based on current performances. However the irony is that you also get the impression that this is also a squad with the ability to avoid relegation with relative ease if they could only raise their confidence and intensity levels. Its very disappointing to watch because its so predictable. It will not solve itself by promises of gradual incremental change. Feels to me that something pretty radical is increasingly required.

The longer it takes to appoint a manager, the number of games he has to turn it around lessens. By now I would liked to have hoped that three (decent ones I hope) managers would’ve been shortlisted for interviews while the rest of the CVs would’ve been binned, you could even say interviews should be taking place already.

A hasty ill advised knee jerk appointment WILL take us down, Need to get this one right & who’s to say they haven’t started interviewing as the various articles suggest they have.
