A good replacement for Cox. Obviously done the business with Forest Green and think he's had a hand in a couple of promotions with other clubs too.

Nice to hear from Fartvs Antiqvvs that he likes to play with wingers. Haven't seen that style of play at Holker Street for some time. I think he was in charge when we played at FGR in a 0-0 draw once. That game, although there were no goals, was the best game I saw that particular season. FGR played some good football that day. They were also a hard team to beat throughout the campaign.

My only worry, as documented by other members on here, is the travelling distance he'll have to endure to attend home games. Time flies when good results are coming your way but the road takes no prisoners when they're not!

Yes, that was when he employed Elliot Frear (hard to come by) on the left wing. I Think he was the fastest player in the National league, very tricky and difficult to catch with the ball even. On Cooper taking over he was pretty well sidelined to suit the Cooper style and seemed to become disillusioned after a regular automatic choice on the teamsheet. He now plays for Motherwell and is doing his second season there in the Left wing slot.

If Casson didn't want a player for biting, he's hardly gonna be okay with signing this lad.

We signed Paul Bignot http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37906718

Yeah, that's hardly fracturing someone's skull though. And to be honest, I agree that Labadie would've been bad news - not so sure Bignot's 'inconclusive' incident is on the same level.

Either way, I don't think Pipe is the kind of character that Casson would be delighted about welcoming to the club.

Yeah, he always was a good player for FGR. Liam Noble, who ran the show on their most recent visit here, has been released - obviously Pennock didn't have him, but he wants to move back north. He'd be an excellent addition.

A fit Liam Noble would walk into any side at this level. Think he had some sort of illness concerns, hence him being released by FGR. Although I noticed he's been training with Notts County of late and signed a deal. So maybe a short term deal until the transfer window opens for them might suit.

We can't do it, I can't remember exactly why but can't, not even for a couple of months, league rules. I asked about him last week

Think a fitness coach is close and that appears to be his first priority.

Other than that who knows???
