Very well said results will bring a certain amount of people but the hype and poor performance has put alot of people.Bigfathoss wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 2:31 pm Regarding the attendance...I don't blame people for not going at the moment. People can be called fickle fans if the team are trying but not getting the results they deserve but still the fans don't come. However, for way longer than is comfortable, the team has been putting in dire performances, absolute dross. Nobody should be expected to fork out for what has been on the field this season.
Last night was a great battling performance. I left the ground thinking we had been robbed of 2 points, because only Barrow looked like they deserved to win. If I wasn't a ST holder I may not even have been there last night based on the many previous performances. The return of the fans is in the hands of the players and the manager. Keep up the performances like last night and they will come back (slowly).

Well, kind of - he said he wasn't in charge, but then when we were winning, suddenly decided he was. Clever move.barrowfan wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 10:47 pmCorrect.Steelworks End wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 8:29 pm

Although Pennock was at the ground it was Mickey Moore who was in charge that day.
You're right - it was Neil Hornby.JammyBluebird wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2018 10:57 pmMicky Moore had long gone by that point! He was dismissed after the Shaw Lane result.
It is not that "easy"
There has to be a culture of going to the match. We don’t have a culture of good away support, lots of reasons etc but there’s no excuse for home games. Sadly it’s been neglected for years and years. Competitive pricing, skewed towards bringing children along. Staff that make you feel welcome rather than an inconvenience. It’s the basics really and I could harp on for hours but as Del Boy once said - “there’s none so blind as them what won’t listen”.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 7:27 amIt is not that "easy"
Gates never improved towards Christmas fourteen months ago and they never in seasons before that either. It'd be a combination of things...getting off to a good start to hold peoples interest, winning, entertaining football, decent facilities and holding on to a few from decent FAC/FAT runs.
It definitely is not just winning.
