Heard Bennetts name mentioned?... Great win today. Luke james looks like a real hand full for defenders. Had a great game tuesday night. My MOM that night. great overall battling performance today. Slowly but surely we will pull away from bottom 6. sure we may have a hick up , but sensing a better togetherness. Now lets give us mostly home supporters a treat and 3 points against the Heed tuesday night. hopefully, bigger crowd.

2,500 at Sol v wrexham game (500 wrex ) hope we don`t get embarrassing gate Tuesday night. Team deserves more after last two games. Terrific day out. Weather was fine, away support in great voice and the team played up. The beer at the Flowerpot was also excellent.

Said in the predictions thread that if the team were positive and aggressive they could get something from the game and that's just how it panned out. Despite their woeful recent form, Maidstone were not that bad and at time played some decent stuff box-to box. But when in front of goal and confronted by a resolute defence they didn't seem to know how to convert. Despite putting lots of pressure on us later on, we always stood our ground and competed and on balance deserved the win for wanting it more.

Everyone put in a shift and Luke James and Ollie Cook both played well giving the side both a bit of pace and a rather fresh look. My first look at Steve Arnold and in my opinion he is a "proper" keeper, big, athletic and commands his box. Must give his defence a lot of confidence. So APs additions are by and large doing the business. Shouldn't forget Moussa either putting his body on the line time and again. After Tuesday the mood of the squad was good in contrast to Maidstone. You could begin to feel their tension as the game progressed. Nevertheless the best thing to be said is that a neutral would probably have to admit that this was a pretty decent game of football with neither side really looking like relegation fodder.

Looking at todays fixtures I feared that some of our "rivals" would win today and so it proved. Whilst our victory isn't really reflected in the table, it was the only one achieved away from home and therefore was pretty vital. We may therefore derive some benefit in the next few matches. We're such a difficult side to read sometimes and there was much discussion in the pub afterwards about attitude and commitment. But I sort of detected today the beginnings of the emergence of a slightly different team unlike the one that looks and plays like a Paul Cox memorial squad. It was quite refreshing to watch at times.

Lastly the support today. We were all penned in to one end of the new stand, which didn't seem ideal but turned out to be a great amplifier of noise. I was quite stunned to see so many there and I cant remember many occasions where we've made more of a din on the road. It was really uplifting and I'm sure it helped keep the players heads up. It was brilliant. I fully realise how bad our home performances have been this season, but getting behind the team on Tuesday is really important. They clearly respond to the "love" coming from the terraces.

Ady said in his radio interview that all the noise from our supporters was great and spurred on the players. If we could only replicate that noise at Holker Street we might get that much delayed home win for Ady and the lads.

Get in there. Best day out supporting the Ziggers for a while

We showed so much fight and determination today and really ground out those three points. Support was immense - sure we had 100+ and we shut up the drumming Stones.

It is however a great ground and place to go to as we had much banter pre and post match with locals especially in the Flower Pot pub which made us feel most welcome. Cracking weather too.

Huge 3 points especially given results elsewhere and hopefully something to build upon. Great goal from Luke James, Diarra and Cook immense and Jordan White was crap in a whole different way.

Good workmanlike performance in the second half. They looked dangerous especially on the right hand side. quick winger.

We managed to hold out and get a big, big 3 points .. would love to see the home table got the league vs the away table.
