Hall of fame

Post by mrsenario » Mon Apr 05, 2021 12:17 pm

Had a conversation about a special hall of fame for Lewis hardcastle.. part of the national league winning team and captain of our first team in the EFL2 for 48 years or a combination with the national league winning team with special mention for Lewis... let me know your thoughts on this

Either way wherever the location seems like a good idea

Definitely a good idea Tommy. I can see the reasoning behind why it could go up alongside others in the hall of fame.
Alternatively, if not purely for Lewis would a promotion winning team board be with looking into?
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

One of the best midfielders we have had at the club in recent times.
Extended his contract with us.
He is worth more than a shirt in the bar surely.

Silly suggestion. Can’t just extend somebody’s contract who can’t play because they were good.

I think you've misunderstood Whitty's comment.

What contract are we extending then? Your post is very vague. Are we extending his contract to become bluey the bluebird?

Yes it’s a shame, but at the end of the day this is a business and we can’t just pay somebody. If he’s offered a coaching role that’s different matter. Your post vaguely says extend his contract.

A few years ago when attending an Oasis concert I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to VIP status with my family as our seats were being used by the people mixing the sound.Because of this we were given access to the players lounge and bar. What I noticed was that all around the bar and lounge were pictures of their iconic players such as Francis Lee.I think this would be great if Barrow were to adopt something similar and would like to nominate Colin Cowperthwaite to be the first one,not forgetting our last iconic manager Ray Wilkie. There could be information under each one telling a little bit of their history, such as ColinCowperthwaite scoring the quickest goal ever at the time. This would be great way of honouring these people and would create a lot of interest.
