Your commentating last night was of the highest order Adam. A consummate professional bringing the game to those who can't be present.
This season has probably brought home to fans just what a great job you do. Those who are usually at games don't get to hear the AJ screams of euphoria as we score---especially the last gasp winners or equalisers. How you don't drop the mic and run out on the terraces to celebrate must take a lot of self control.

Could be 1968-69. We played you at Holker Street on 15th Feb - Rogers didn't score but we did beat you 3-0. (The year before we played you in September, so it's unlikely to have snowed and it finished 1-1.)

Yes it was 3-0 ,I know it's a age thing but I remember when Northampton got to the First Division riding through all divisions

Yes, I was at that Swindon game. I cycled from Seascale but got stuck in the snow and had to get on the train at Kirby. It was a minor miracle that the game got played. Rogers scored in the 1-1 game the previous season, a last minute equaliser.

Its wonderful to see such a happy smiling forum after really what has been over a year of absolute turmoil. All those who have put their hearts and souls into the club (as well as their money) deserve a massive hug - were current rules to allow it of course. As for Rob Kelly well he deserves a statue for what he has managed to achieve given the situation he inherited. And the players to a man sucked it all up and battled it out. You cant ask more from your players than that. I'm only sad at the thought that I will probably not see some of them play in a BAFC shirt in the flesh. But I can now actually expect to see my team play in the EFL and for that I can only say again a great thanks to all.

Cant really add much else apart from thankfully we managed to sort this out before the Phil Brown circus hits town on Saturday. His antics over the last few games mark him out as more of a showman than a modern day manager. Hopefully they will now cancel prospective events such as a fly over by the Red Arrows repainted in Southend colours, busloads of strategically placed supporters at service stations on the M6, and the Southend & Westcliffe Girl Pipers band (subject to he rule of 6) marching up and down Wilkie Road during the game.

In addition to everything that has been said on this thread, I am delighted that Connor Brown was able to play a part last night. Sidelined by Jolley, he kept himself fit and came back into the side at just the right moment.

Brown was on the end of Football Focus last week.
He is a Frank Sinatra fan and sings so hopefully he can sing to Rob Kelly ,You did it your way.
He was hoping to overhaul Barrow and when asked what is ultimate aim was,Frank sorry Phil said to get another job in the Premier League ,I did notice the spliff behind his ear though.

Great interview with Scott Quigley from last night a couple of digs at Jolley but didn’t fully open up on all that happened. Praised Rob Kelly he could have walked but stayed and made everyone believe. Get that flag out for sat and I Hope initial talks with renewing contracts start soon need to keep the nucleus of the squad for next season and add some more quality

Remember watching Don Rodgers play against Barrow on a snow covered pitch a real talent we could not live with

I remember an away game against Swindon. I did not attend the fixture but remember a letter in our programme from some Swindon fans. They said Don Rodgers usually turned it on for five minutes to win most game but in their home game against Barrow he performed for the full ninety. Unfortunately for him so did Fred Else, the fans said it was a fantastic show of keeping which kept Rodgers and Swindon at bay and they wrote to tell us how magnificent Fred had been.

That is the past but for the present would just like to praise the players, management and staff for some great performances and results and for keeping Barrow in the league. Not forgetting the board who deserve credit for somehow finding the right way, no easy task.

I was one of those who massively critiqued the starting line up but that's why I'm a fan and not a manager! We were right at it from the off and soon as we got ahead there was only going to be one winner.
