Dear Mr Hornby

Post by Desmond2-2 » Thu Nov 18, 2021 12:51 am

Thanks for everything you have done.
Start of this season, things looked promising, manager and team wise. Then we lose our main striker ( who was excellent tonight for Stockport) we, I assume got money for him. A great sell out cup tie brought more finance in to the club. Two good lads signed from Leeds. I think now after 16 league games, we realise that we desperately need to sign another striker.
WE NEED ANOTHER STRIKER, it’s so obvious to everyone. Zanzala is ok, sea is , well what is he, where is he, Gordon is decent and full of energy. We haven’t replaced Quigley.

Thank God you’ve told him. He probably didn’t have a clue.

Agreed Suffolk. That’s an amazing post by Desmond. A job on MOTD beckons a statement even Shearer would be proud of.

I watched the game tonight and it was good to see Quigley do well.

When Ian Evatt left he said he was going to a big club,I think when you looked at the Stockport team you did not see a non league team in term of finances.

You only have to look at the players Stockport bought such as Paddy Madden bought from Fleetwood supposedly for £250,000.
On the sale Fleetwood said they did not look to sell and also they could not match Stockports salary.
The Stockport owner is throwing money around like its confetti.

The majority of supporters can see the short comings and yes it frustrating but it's all down to financial resources.

Great post Desmond; perhaps ring the club and tell them as well, best to be sure incase they haven’t realised we are missing a striker

Agreed excellent post from Desmond, very similar in detail to a thread he posted not so long ago.

Yeah Mr Hornby, And is it too much to ask to buy one who will score 30+ goals in a season?

Oh and how about a goalkeeper who won't let any goals in.

And heated seats.

Oh, I almost forgot, Pies too, and lots of em, all available, instantly, at the optimum temperature for consumption.

Cheers x

What’s the point seriously. What a pathetically childish response.

Well, quite obviously, I want a 30+ goal striker, a impenetrable goalkeeper, somewhere warm to sit and pies. Thats the point mate.

And, like you, I thought the best way to request these items from our chairman was via the means of an unofficial forum.
