Re: Matt Platt
If something was happening with you in your workplace - would you be happy for it to be made public?
Players are employees of the football club. The fact that the fans own 10% is irrelevant. It could be that the fans' representative is aware but he too should maintain the privacy of the Boardroom.

I hope that there is a very valid reason for the Manager not selecting the clubs best defender when the team isn’t fair off the relegation places.

Re: Matt Platt
Listening to the manager's post-match interview with Adam there's only one reason Platt isn't playing: desire (or lack of it).
Don't let the old man in.
Re: Matt Platt
I can indeed read it. What you said (to Jim) was "You should be bothered because if it`s football related then the fan`s have a right to know (we own 10%) because if and i say if it`s definately football then the facts should be made public ."
Sorry if my question wasn't clear to you but I wondered what you would expect if it isn't football-related. Would we not be where we are now? (See post by walneyroad above.)
I have no knowledge of whether it is or it isn't and, from a manager/employee perspective, that seems to me to be correct unless there is something that might reasonably be made public as happens with, for example, a footballer's muscle strains.
In respect of the 'right to know' due to 10% fan ownership, you are wrong. A shareholder in a company doesn't have the right to know personnel information whether related to an employee's performance or for another reason.

Re: Matt Platt
Seemed happy enough signing autographs for the Kids on Saturday, we are in deep trouble and not playing a decent league 2 defender is criminal, he will be getting paid so makes no sense, same with White another decent player not starting, so stop playing your stupid games Mr Cooper and start playing our better players, you said in your interview that 5 players kits won`t need washing because of lack of effort will these players also be missing Saturday.

Re: Matt Platt
Platt IS in our updated squad list. Sea is still U21. League 2 clubs can register up to 22 players. Goalkeepers & U21s don’t have to be included within the 22. No current players appear to have been left out.boyliegladbach wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 7:57 amWe will have recently put our 25 man squad in for rest of season. Doubt sea will be in that.
A lot of clubs have published their squads

And the Trust is a shareholder on our behalf holding 10% of the shares.blue nige wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 5:51 amWe are members of a trust not shareholders!Hadrian wrote: ↑Wed Feb 09, 2022 4:14 pm

Re: Matt Platt
I think the “shares” have diluted, think it was mentioned in a previous interview, as the owners put in more during COVID, one program said 2.8 million since 2018. Seems a bit mad that people want to know why Cooper has dropped Matty Platt for playing poorly, coz we own some imaginary shares.

The shares haven't diluted, The Trust, on behalf of the 1000 members, own just over 10%.Bombadel wrote: ↑Thu Feb 10, 2022 3:23 pm I think the “shares” have diluted, think it was mentioned in a previous interview, as the owners put in more during COVID, one program said 2.8 million since 2018. It means that the board rep will know aspects of transfer dealings etc but there's no way it get's shared. What does happen is they can put the general views of the Trust and it's members, and to an extent the support- balancing opinions. Let's take a historical example. Phil Bolland; I might say 'a player that divides opinion. He has his supporters as a cultured defender but drives others mad as he ducks challenges in the air. £2000 a week is ridiculous' (not that is would have been!).
But I'm proud we've paid our way and that's down to you lot.
Or you ask about direction the club should take. You are very careful about what you share because whilst for us it is a beautiful obsession that sometimes drives us mad, for the players, it is a job- and info needs to be treated as such.
The model isn't perfect, nothing is. But if you look elsewhere, including up the coast, could be worse.
But ultimately it is what the 1000 members make it.
As for Platty, nae idea.

Seems to me the only reason Matt is not playing is a loss of form.
Re: Matt Platt
Last Saturday I was in the ground at 2pm Platty was running up and the pitch what looked like fitness checks to me ,so just maybe he had been carrying an injury,
