The first picture is of the new outdoor socket our sparks fit to replace the old one that supplies the ticket hut in the fanzone.
The second photo is of the disabled area at the steelworks end, there was a lack of seating in there and the one on the west terrace so they’ve now been tidied up and extra seating put in.
The ground was completely litter picked by six people as the wind and seagulls had managed to scatter the rubbish all over the place. That was a big job for the lads and lasses who took it on.
There were many other areas of the ground that were tidied and smaller jobs taken on, get these out of the way before some of the bigger stuff start in the next couple of months.

Considering we didn’t really “advertise” it as we couldn’t be sure of the weather it was a great turnout of about a dozen volunteers. All were well fed with Marion’s homemade sausage rolls and sandwiches and brews were supplied as always by Elaine.

My name isn't Edwards with 8 visit bans in mind. 😂
Fair play to those lads and Marian. It was absolutely freezing out there on Sunday when they could have been tucked up nice and warm in bed.

Apologies people (think that's fairly gender neutral) ! Must book myself on a gender correction course asap. Or I will just get my wife, daughter ,grand daughter and sisters to show me where I've gone wrong.

Anyway its still a great job done by all.

Just an onbservation not a criticism, but is stuffing the disabled shelter with chairs good news for someone who uses a wheelchair?

Perhaps there were spaces left previously for those who have their own seat already?

Hi Rich tbf I put them there, the GMV will have tidied up the shelter.

There's a mix, but quite a lot of those using the shelters are ambulant disabled or carers

A valid observation Rich nothing wrong with that. No need to quantify it as not a criticism.
This is the problem in this pc society.
Question posed and answered by Steve. Sorted.

As Elaine says Rich, it’s a worthwhile point you’ve made.

Steve had put some chairs in there but as there were some more under the main stand doing nowt and there seems to be quite a few people standing we brought them out, they aren’t fastened down so if anyone needed space for a wheelchair one of the chairs can just be shifted out of the way.
I’ll keep an eye on both shelters on Saturday and if the balance looks wrong we’ll remove some of the chairs.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

If anyone would like to spend a few hours down the ground in the morning doing the usual post match stuff we’ll be opening up from 8:30.
Cups of tea/coffee and biscuits will be on offer during the morning.

The obvious ones are moving where the practice nets go pre-match (that’ll obviously be a club decision) or, attach posts & netting to the existing posts and wooden cladding. The problem with netting will be making it look right and not just something else to make another area of the ground look untidy.
Noticed that lad that works in asda getting smashed in the shoulder by all stray ball last week.
Managed not to spill his pint though.

Club never did sort that out.

I can only pass on comments Al, not really much we can do about it but I will bring it up again during the summer. I’m sure it will get sorted.

Here’s a professional ball stop netting and post system that would do the job. Suggesting it as consideration for a dedicated fan fundraiser or if the Trust could host and promote a fundraising link like they did for the flag last season for fan contributions. It’s not cheap- Coming in at £870 for a 20ft (h)x 50ft. (L) socketed system but would protect fans in the fanzone from stray shots…what you reckon folks….
