The north west counties isn’t the easiest League to find up to date scores for so unless you have someone at the game messaging which I have in the past - you’re at the hands and whim of social media posting scores

Surely they could arrange for the manager or someone on the club committee to give them a ring.

Why does a county wide station even send a commentator to such a nonsense game who cares.

Just BECAUSE they are countywide and should cover all teams at a certain level and above, and HOB are in line for possible promotion.

They give results from Carlisle City - oh sorry they are in Carlisle aren't they?

Won’t be many if any county stations giving that much coverage to a team that far down the football leagues.Not many give a toss in Barrow either.

You should get yourself to Rakesmoor. You'll see far better football and a load more goals than you'll see at Holker Street.

I won’t see better goals because the players are amateur so all the goals will be well amateur. Probably would see more goals but that’s not an indicator of quality either.

Adam and his co commentators do a great job I’m especially liking Lee Turnbull this season adds a lot of insight. I remember last season when the RC crew could not travel there was some right garbage commentary on I follow from the local commentators we get good coverage yes the Carlisle stuff gets a bit grating at times I don’t mind now their winning to be fair it’s the moaning when their not gets me but getting to be able to listen to ever game is not available for all teams in more populated areas

Adam has been doing live commentaries from Rakesmoor on Holker Old Boys. Today they won 7-1 away from home and it wasn't mentioned, let alone a telephone interview with their manager.

James Phillips has only recently returned to "on air duties" after being taken off air by his Radio Cumbria bosses. Radio Cumbria had to make an " on air " apology recently - I think it was something to do with the proposed Carlisle United takeover. Over the years he hasn't held back in asking the Carlisle manager's tough questions - you've got to admire him for that. We don't tend to see that type of questioning in the media these days.

You can't fault the money and time Radio Cumbria give to our teams. Adam and Goody did full match coverage the other week from a Holker Old Boys game with Bacup, Holker are probably lucky if they get 100 people to watch a match yet Radio Cumbria were prepared to pay for two people to commentate on the game - that's some financial commitment for what most people would regard as a non event.

Also Adam can't drive so has to use trains and overnight stops sometimes to cover games - I think he may have even once flown to a match at Eastleigh a few years back . It all costs money which Radio Cumbria are prepared to finance so I don't think we should knock their coverage.

Barrow is the centre of our universe because we are Barrovians & BAFC diehards…… 99.999999% of people outside of Furness really don’t care.

RC has been a vital connection for all our expat fans & without it many may have lost interest, all in all it’s been very kind to us over the seasons IMHO.

Since JP returned he hardly has a say in the after-match questions asked by the studio. It's usually Lummy. Presumably so that he doesn't get into any more trouble!
