What a feeble excuse for a tackle from Banks for Swindon`s winning goal, Brough should have knocked his lights out cost us a point just like Brown at Exeter , Banks couldn`t get the captain`s armband of Rooney any quicker when he came on, whoever is in charge next season they have a big call on the players with longer contracts, unless several go it will be almost the same team again. We get stick for time wasting but the Swindon fans not giving the ball back near full-time was pathetic, we should do the same on Saturday if we are beating Northampton.

Strange game really we could've been dead and buried by halftime, even in the second half but we hung on, credit to Brown for tweaking the tactics and got ourselves back in the game. Then conceded a horrific second goal 90 seconds after equalising.
First half I thought we started well but Swindon grew into it more and started to have a lot of space through the middle and were particularly dangerous down their left and targeted Connor Brown. The goal came from nothing really a throw in, Hutton could do more to close the cross down and Canavan wa caught wrong side and Farman left flat footed. They had another couple of chances but we stayed in the game.

Second half the tactical changes got us back into the game but at times we were the masters of our downfall and some wayward passes and sloppy play gifted Swindon posession in dangerous areas, they should've been 2 or 3 up and Farman kept us in it with a great one on one save. We looked a threat still going forwards with Hutton and Kay running at them and the difference in our set plays recently has been noticeable. Platt headed in Rooney's free kick and silenced the crowd and then it needed game management to see it out. We didn't do that. The winning goal was criminal. Banks as against Port Vale missing a tackle in his own penalty area and the ball broke for Swindon to score in the corner, as others have noted Farman and Brough had a right go at him and rightly so. Thought he didn't do anywhere near enough when he came on, Josh Gordon wins more headers and his passing was wayward too. Not sure what happened to him since Christmas but he's not up to it on this form. Beadling gets stuck in but was looking tired, Gotts has a lot of energy and that was the difference I saw between Swindon and Exeter the other night and us, they both move the ball a lot quicker in midfield, break quicker and press with more energy. Banks and White aren't quick enough, if we're playing Rooney we need people with legs around him. We're not a million miles away from being a decent team but at times there is a big gulf between us and the top teams which you'd expect at the minute. We've shown recently we can compete more and stay in games though and with Holloway upfront I think we'd have taken something from one of these last two games, Gordon works hard and wins headers he's no right to but no match for 6'2 plus defenders.

Great atmosphere and support from the away section, the referee to be expected was very weak, played by Swindon and their manager and never seen a more swayed official by a home crowd. Poor. Ridiculous booking for Brough for a good tackle and then Rooney for complaining. Loved Browns thetrical reaction when we did get a free kick from which we scored! Maybe that's something else we can be smarter at and use referees, at this level they're very poor and Mark Cooper had a point when he talked about little old Barrow...

Brown and Banks have history. During Browns time at Swindon. Banks was on loan at Swindon from Tranmere at the time of Browns appointment. During Browns first week he was quoted as saying that Banks "was surplus to requirements"

Tbf, Cooper didn’t rate Banks when he came in but through this performances he stayed in the team. He can do the same with Brown, I’m sure.

Banks is not the only one who hasn’t shown enough aggression in these goals (Hutton / Brown / Canavan could do show more for the first). Over the season we’ve seen players being out fought far too times in the lead up to goals- especially in aerial battles.
