Many thanks to the person on here (who wishes to remain anonymous) who dropped off a donation for the GMV kitty after yesterdays game. I’m sure there will be plenty to spend it on over the summer.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

🤔Maybe the GMA could build us a prototype manager as a project for the Summer 💭 the heart and Passion and desire of Ray Wilkie the street wiseness of Daz and Dave and the modern day nous and community understanding of Ian Evatt with the brains of Ady Pennock and Rob Kelly thrown in for good measure. I know it’s out of your normal remit, but this could be the ultimate challenge.😉
Great efforts as always team GMA👏

After having a meeting with the club today regarding their list of work that needs doing this summer (on top of what we already knew needed doing) it turns out it’s quite a lot.
So before we actually get into it or even inform the club of just what we can do it’d be nice to know what sort of numbers and skills we can call on.
If anyone feels like they can give up a few hours of their time either during the week or on Sunday mornings can you please get in touch either through this topic, PMs, texts or e-mails.
There will be jobs for tradespeople to casual helpers, male, female and any age group.

All of these jobs that we help with will take pressure off the club and allow money to be used elsewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

First job is probably litter picking after the Music Festival.
Have we got enough bin bags and pickers to carry it out? One of the pickers is definitely broken.
I will be on brew duty too.

Jeezo isn't that part of the deal with Pitch Up that they do it? It'll be industrial scale cleaning. Every credit.

I have no idea about that Steve, that wasn’t one of the jobs that were mentioned to us yesterday, and to be honest not one that I’d try to get people involved with…we have enough on over the summer without cleaning up after the Pitch Up event.

I don't mind. I quite like litter picking. Plus we have the world's best in Peter Forrest if he is up for it. 🙂

Fans can't be responsible for cleaning up after an all day music event. Place will be a state.

Agreed but surely those hosting the event also agreed to tidying up the facilities afterwards??

I’ve just been told the Pitch Up people will be looking after the clean up.

I recall the shot blasters being responsible for cleaning the stand seats when they finished. They cleared off.
I received a phone call to go to the club and cleaned all the seats in the stand as we had a game that nignt.
Back breaking work so much so I missed the game due to back issues----as in not being able to straighten up. 😂
I hope they stick to the agreement

And rightly so another bit of poor communication it would seem. Hope the event is a success but keeping house in order should always have been down to the organisers.
