Who Do We Want ?
Previous league experience or National league?
I wanted Neil Ardley before we appointed Cooper!
Perhaps we've someone in mind and we're going to go for him!

Re: Who Do We Want ?
Ardley, like Wild, is in the thick of the National League promotion race and if either (or both) go the distance it would be 4th June before that is concluded. That leaves us in the lurch for too long.
Luke Garrard, mentioned on the other thread, would be risky...very risky. He has been successful in very particular circumstances: he has done a great job at BW but has a close working relationship with his chairman and they have built the club over years. Coming to a northern-based L2 club and needing to hit the ground running is a different proposition altogether.
I hope there's someone lurking in the background that maybe we haven't thought of and whose early appointment will please us all. In the meantime, what happens to the retained/released list?

Don't let the old man in.
Re: Who Do We Want ?
Might as well add John McGreal to that list and Mike Williamson and Steve Watson the bookies soon will.

Re: Who Do We Want ?
Graham Coughlan seems to have been linked with a lot of League 1/2 jobs recently. Id imagine Simon Grayson will be the bookies favourite
I’d like to see Pete Wild personally

Heard Phil Browns quite good.
Kept a proper shit team in the league against all odds last season.

Re: Who Do We Want ?
How many more times do people need reminding LUKE GARRARD HAS SIGNED A 3 YEAR CONTRACT WITH BOREHAM WOOD he is not coming to manage Barrow AFC.
Re: Who Do We Want ?
Simon Grayson for me. He has been to loads of matches so will already have in his mind who is good and bad and what is required
Re: Who Do We Want ?
Grayson is being heavily tipped for Blackburn apparently
Re: Who Do We Want ?
An experienced seasoned campaigner , probably has had a mixed bag of success at previous clubs but with that has the battle scars and understands the challenges of a relegation battle. So someone who knows how to manage players in those situations and can help us navigate our way through these first few years when we are struggling to find our feet and hold our own in EFL. Thats why I think an experienced Manager would help us address that and grow into this league.
