Possibly for the short term gig but it was clear in his interviews he wanted it longer term. He spoke enthusiastically about the club, meeting people in the area out and about etc. All positive signs. People who want something tend to put more into it than those who have to be cajoled or influenced. Human nature.

Current England Under 19 manager Ian Foster could be a good fit for us I think;-
Formerly managed 2 clubs in Ireland and coached at Coventry and Portsmouth then managed England U-18 and now England U-19...
More importantly he knows all about the club - he played for us back in 1999-2000

I’ve no doubt. We have recruited managers who i don’t think really wanted it (see first ever interviews with Dunn and Cooper - the signs are there) and have made some poor recruitment on the player front. Alas, the pot only goes so far.

Why does it matter if he's not played at a high level, if he's a good coach? Klopp, Mourhino, Wenger never played to a particularly high level, they did OK?

I think an ambitious, up coming manager would be the way to go, they want to do well to further their careers, like Evatt did, it's in their interest to do a good job for this to happen, regardless of what level they have or haven't played at

One of the famous four who stuck by the club post Vaughan when all the well paid rats had deserted the sunken ship. Would be welcomed back in a heartbeat but doubt he'd desert a seat at the National table for a League 2 struggle.

Jonty when I listened to Jolley I thought oh brilliant here we go ,there's more to it than telling fans what they want to hear,Brown did an interview on football focus last year listen to that and it's a carbon copy of what he's said to us ! #used car salesman.

He's not done an O.K. job at Halifax; he's done a brilliant job and without a large budget. If you call a 47% win record O.K. then you've got very high expectations! He also had a 50% win record in his first short spell at Oldham and a 44% win record in his second short spell.

Yep.. Kept us in the now National League as a player (winning goal at Kidderminster) before we were demoted. All we are asking again is for somebody to keep us in the football league again next season and for the club to have a little stability. Another uncertain pre-season of transition.
