Kian Spence at Halifax, out of contract

Halifax fan here, Kian isn't out of contract, we have a years option on him. Would have to pay a transfer fee for him.

I'm surprised you haven't mentioned that none of PW back room staff are following him up the M6. I do wonder if PW just expected everyone to follow him.

Not much to comment on really with regard to Millington except good luck to him. Opportunity arises and you take it. When looking at managerial pairs you firstly have to factor in Wild’s age. At 38 as a manager he will not necessarily have formed an unbreakable bond with an AM yet. Also the fact that we are in the EFL does mean that you do run a risk with a full Non League crew. As we saw when Dunn was manager, the appointment of Rob Kelly as a vastly experienced AM and as a mentor turned out to be pivotal in our survival.We might see this happening again.

I would suggest that Wild had a faily strong bond with Millington, SB, as they were together at Oldham, Curzon Ashton and Halifax. I'm actually quite surprised that Millington hasn't come with him but, obviously, the chance of being No 1 at Halifax was an opportunity he wanted to take.

Callum Rowe (Exeter) would be worth a look. Came from Aston Villa and struggled to establish himself, but performed well when he had a run of games during an injury crisis and more than a few supporters have been surprised by the decision not to offer him a new deal. I imagine that if we (ECFC) had stayed in the division, he'd have been kept on.

Young and may be willing to sign if there's a good prospect of getting some good minutes. Young, tidy player, comfortable playing at left back or in the centre of the park and will only get better with experience. As he wasn't offered a new deal there won't be any compensation due either.

Reading on the Alty forum because Ferguson is 22 and they offered him a new contract they would be entitled to 'compensation'. However the figure is based on how much development the selling club has put in and he has only been with them since the turn of the year.Perhaps we could offer them some of our 'deadwood' in exchange as they are going full-time (perhaps season long loan).

yeah - he only joined them in February so shouldn't be too much. Maybe they'd be interested in getting James Jones back?

The latter has been suggested by one fan particularly as he left Alty for full-time football and would be more likely to get a regular first team start at there.

Newport fans were pretty happy with CBR getting released - he scored a couple of good goals but was otherwise useless - that was more or less what they said. He was woeful when we played Newport at home and got subbed off

He's still under contract at Port Vale having played 31 times in EFL 2 for them last season - he scored the late winner for Vale at Holker Street the season just gone. Unless they want to move him on after they got promoted I'd say it's an unlikely move.
