Trouble with waiting to see what he’s like is other clubs will be picking up the sort of striker we want, by the time Wild realises Zanzala doesn’t score, doesn’t tackle, can’t head and is pretty much…not very good, we’ll be stuck with a forward line like last season that struggle to reach a dozen goals between them.

Simple really—you can’t polish a turd.If we get Waters from Halifax then offer Zanzala out to them on loan.He’s never been a striker and isn’t going to suddenly come good now despite who the manager is.Maybe Carlisle might take him but he’s got to be at the back of the que surely with his career form.There will be lads playing for Holker that are better.

If Pete wilds philosophy is as he states “ to win the ball back in both boxes” then Zanzala is history.More work in a junior aspirin and his goal scoring record at all his clubs cannot be ignored.Get him out on loan till his contract expires.

This is really surprising to hear as an Exeter fan. He wasn't a natural goalscorer, but he worked very hard and was fantastic at hectoring defenders and generally making a nuisance of himself. Perhaps it's an issue of a bad managerial / tactical fit, but maybe it's motivation. If it's the latter, get rid—but if it's the former, most Exeter fans would say that Zanzala's not bad at all for a League Two striker—just don't count on him to be prolific.

He is on contract and as far as I am concerned he should have the chance like everyone else to show the new manager what he can do.

To me he looked a player low on confidence. If he’s as rumoured on here, to be one of our top earners, realistically very few other clubs would be interested in taking him on. For what it’s worth, I think he could do a decent job for us under a new Manager, but he can’t be played up front on his own. I wonder if he played behind the front two or maybe wide upfront, out left or right. Just a thought.

The only place he can play is off a target man, hes not a rough and tumble forward as we witnessed last season, theres some big back lines in league 2 that dont take any prisoners. I still dont know how he managed to miss that sitter at Carlisle

That's always the solution to a striker that can't score - "stick him on the wing". The easiest way to solve the problem is to just get rid.

People forget how well he started in his first half dozen games or so. He lost all confidence very quickly which is a concern. I know I’m in a very small minority here but I still think there’s a player in there somewhere. Hopefully Wild is the man to nurture him back to form.
