The GMV graffiti art scoreboard. Well, if you can’t beat them….

We were asked yesterday to pop up the new optics behind the fanzone bar, another job completed today.

The ground was once again completely litter picked, plastic separated for recycling and rubbish skipped.

Thanks to Marion for laying on quite a spectacular spread today, truly spoilt, and to Elaine for looking after us with the brews.

The ground is looking smarter now the paintwork is more uniform in colour rather than a mishmash of the two blues. Well done.

Yes, good, steady progress on improving a rapidly ageing ground. Thanks to all concerned, volunteers, those who support them, employees, Trust and owners.

A few regulars missing these last two weeks (including myself) due to holidays but as you can see, the work continues. A few more pairs of hands would’ve seen things move along much quicker - especially using the good weather for pushing the exterior painting but it is what it is I suppose.

The interior blue band on the main building has now fully had its first coat.

The club asked us to put some lighting up for the darker evenings and afternoons in the garage corner, hopefully this’ll help as people leave that corner of the ground during autumn & winter.

The ground was once again completely litter picked including separating items for re-cycling, a thankless but really important job.
The back wall under the Ray Wilkie stand was also given a fresh coat of paint.

Thanks as usual to Marion for a spread of freshly made sandwiches and homemade sausage rolls and to Elaine for keeping everyone topped up with tea & coffee.

You’d like to hope the club would have sorted it before Sunday (and I know it’s none of yours fault!) but if not the lights on the path from the fanzone back towards the car park down the side of the cross bar weren’t working. Not ideal for anyone but particularly a couple of wheelchair users who were trying to navigate their way down the path in the dark

Don’t know who put the new handrail up that goes up steps by the directors seats but one of the grab rails has already become insecure at base looks like one of the screws into the base/steps has come loose.Probably caused by those with less mobility heaving themselves up steps on it.

Yes, we noticed that on the way out tonight. Nothing we have done but we’ll have a look.
