After our bump in the road, we have recovered our poise and produced two really good performances this week plus keeping clean sheets. A very well taken goal by Waters (getting better) and the usual tenacity from Gordon with two well taken goals. The only bad news is McClelland having to return to Chelsea for treatment.
Up to 5th and can go away a happy man.

Thought we were better on Tuesday night and credit to Crewe they always kept in the game. Third goal going our way was crucial.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Crewe were pretty poor for all the possession they had and whenever we went forward we looked dangerous. The good ship Barrow cruises onwards 😂
More of the same next Tuesday please
Just say no to VAR :sentoff:

Crewe had no cutting edge at all. All three of our goals were excellent. I thought we looked like a very good side who weren’t playing at full potential, but winning convincingly nonetheless. That is a very good indication of where we are. I’d say our best team for 50 years.

Dispatched Crewe without much resistance.
For all their possession they had no cutting edge and wasted some good chances. Some of our players getting back to early season form.
Have to take back what I said about Billy waters earlier in the season.
Now working hard and looks a handful. I would of made him MOM again today.
Will miss Gordon Tuesday but we should have enough to dispatch Colchester who have now slipped to bottom.
Well done Pete Wild and staff

Very Enjoyable game. After we scored Crewe we’re pinning us back in our own half thought we needed a second to give us a cushion and we supplied it and a great third could have been more Whitfield and Waters look a real handful. Hoping for another 3 points on Tuesday

Totally agree MP (I should apologise for calling you "MP" as that sounds like a highly unfortunate and insulting abbreviation to address you by). It's still interesting to wonder who or what Wild had been listening to during that down-spell. Today was back to the way we were.

Better make that 53 years HTB, as we were appalling from very late 1969 through to 1972 as well.

There was some pleasing stuff today and all three goals were excellent. Following on from Tuesday night we were once again able to enjoy Waters and Gordon being exactly where they need to be as strikers to get on the end of crosses and finish them, as demonstrated by our first two goals. During our losing run it was a sickener to have balls played across the six-yard line and no striker there to do anything about it. These last two matches have seen our strikers where our strikers should be as the ball comes across. As for the third goal, well, it was a bit different, but Gordon stayed so cool as he had plenty of time to ponder as he made the long run towards goal. I don't believe the Gordon of last season would have tucked that away but he did so today with a calm nonchalance. Brilliant.

Does that figure include all the double seat bookings in the stand today?
If every seat now has a bar code, which I assume is assigned to each individual seat, surely once that code has been swiped at a turnstile it should be rejected if presented again.
If not, then a person can print off as many tickets of the same seat and distribute/sell them on.

Yes, the best I've seen since the ones we scored at Barnsley in January! There aren't many players at this level who can hit a volley so accurately from such a narrow angle.

Don’t mean to be a smarty pants, or presumptuous. Same thing I think.

I have just listened to Pete Wilds interview. I love his tactical thinking and the way he explains all his decisions. Great to see some comments on here that some players we weren’t sure about seem to be coming good.
