Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
The good thing is Moloney has barely been tested, Quigley has been kept quiet and we look tighter down the right with Brown in place.
Don't let the old man in.
Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
I just feel anxious that they will get that one clear chance before we do

Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
When does the Raiders season start?
Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
Soon so we can dig out the comparison thread.
I assume the people booing at the end expect us to be running away with the top three? Frustrating result today, some of our deliveries into the box were poor however on the good ones there were was a Rochdale defender getting an important touch, credit to them they defended well and will be pleased with a point. The changes to the starting eleven were right and so were the subs having been critical of them in recent games. We are three points off fourth, no doubt there'll be an overreaction from some but I won't be losing any sleep over that result.
Popular side since '03.

Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
This forums going to be fun after the run of extremely tough fixtures we have now coming up this month……
20 points clear of the relegation places half way through the season isn’t a bad place to be in. We probably need another striker (some of us did keep pointing out Josh Gordon’s hot streak wouldn’t last!) but as we know they are hard to find. Least hopefully Newby coming in might mean we finally get Whitfield back on the right hand side

Team put in a solid performance, can’t fault the effort, no need for some idiots to boo at the end, compared to where we were last season.
Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
Huff and puff, cumbersome, but I think we will look a lot more threatening if we can have Newby, Kay and Gotts together in the team, together with Bennett and Whitfield.
Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
Another waste of £10. So poor, how has it gone so downhill. Same old tactics, took Whitfield off just as we were getting some joy. Should have hammered Rochdale !

Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
Rochdale were really poor ,their 2 centre backs were excellent. Two things stand out ,our total ineptness to anticipate crosses deliveries, but saying that how poor again were we at set pieces ,so frustrating as we're not far off being a decent side !

Re: Barrow v Rochdale match thread
At least we kept a clean sheet today, which is a bonus. We are a team in transition so we will all just have to be patient. We were down to our third goalkeeper and were not allowed to play our new signing, because the EFL can,t get it's act together. We were also missing Josh Kay who can make a difference.I think that once we have our full cohort of players plus a few additions to choose from our results will start to improve. When you think we only need to win three more games to reach the magic 50 total and we still have the second half of the season to do it.This time last season we were in a much poorer position and I think we all have to realise that and be grateful.Pete Wild has a plan which will take time to come right so we will all just have to enjoy the ride.
