Absolutely dreadful first half; difference this season is we can then actually change and have a bloody good second half. I know Wild has a bit of loyalty to Warren but that should be that for him, get Feely in every week

A very poor game contested by two poor teams. Slight improvement second half but can’t claim we deserved to win it. Today felt as though some of our team were thinking of their summer hols or pastures new.

Looking ahead to next season, a couple of almost local trips to Accrington and Morecambe are on the cards. Both should be good days out.

Absolutely terrible first half, probably the worst half of football I’ve seen this season. Had we been playing a football team that was any good then we would have been dead and buried before half time.

Second half not drastically better but the changes improved us when they were made and we did what we had to do. Good effort from the lads to come from behind and not give up and go on for the win but we can do so much better than that today!

Didn't go today but sounds like we could have been going in at HT even further behind. Sure a few words would have been said by PW and credit to the lads, they regrouped at HT and found a way.

Good win, but an alarming start by the sounds of it.

First half, we were utterly and totally rubbish. I still can't work out why PW went back to the men behind the ball, pass between the back line and then lump it forward tactics that weren't working earlier in the season. Absolutely nothing in the middle of the park, in terms of bodies or creative play. For me, Young just doesn't look like he knows what role he's playing and just seemed to randomly wander into areas rather than be playing in the 10, striker or wide roles.
It was as if we were set up to weather a storm against a top footballing side, not a poor Wimbledon side. It looked like we were playing walking football at times, and badly.

Second half, totally different. The spark came back, we started passing on the floor and pressing with urgency. The players looked fired up. When this happened Wimbledon just didn't look like they could handle it. We looked like side who knew what they were doing and doing it well.
For me, Kay is our best option out on the left. He and Brough just work well together and have done for a long time now. When they started linking up, Wimbledon were on the back foot looked panicked.

I agree with an earlier post regarding Warren. Why he started today ahead of Feely, I just don't know. It's time to accept he just isn't good enough and pick Feely for every game he's available.
Gotts needs to start more too. Nothing in the centre of the park until he and Foley came on, although Tom White put in a great performance in front of the back line, battling as usual.

Very very glad that second goal dropped to Flash Gordon. Kept his cool and slotted it. Would've been easy to snatch at it or just try and power it in through bodies.

A mention for Paul Farman as well. Could've been much, much worse at half time if not for a couple of important interventions.

All in all, delighted with three points and the turnaround after half time, but what a mixed bag of a football match.

I always find Goody’s comments to be spot on. He tells it like it is whether or not that favours Barrow or the opponents or the ref - whatever. I think he and Adam make a good team.

Which part of my description of the first half was incorrect? It WAS rubbish.
But I also said we were a different team second half, in fact I said "we looked like a side who knew what they were doing and doing it well".

Same here, Goody has announced his retirement at the season’s end & he won’t be easy to replace & whoever joins Adam has a tough job on his/her hands
