Wrexham sold out!

Post by Falstaff » Mon Aug 14, 2023 7:31 pm

Wrexham have apparently sold out their allocation for the Bank Holiday weekend game after they went on sale this morning. Hopefully be a packed Holker Street for this game.

Strange club; “sold out” but plenty of people seemed to have spares available (actual fans not them bots) on social media
Someone on their forum claiming they’d spoke to Barrow and they’ve got the biggest away allocation any team will have all season…..except all the ones who get the same as you of course

Hi Wrexham fan here in peace. Tickets for our game at Holker Street went on sale this morning, and all 900 have now been sold. Looking forward to our trip to Cumbria, where our record when in the National League wasn't the best. Hopefully by the time we play you, we'll of won a couple of games, starting tomorrow home to Walsall, and Swindon Saturday. Good luck for the season, exept when we play you.

Thanks, and to you but 'trip to the Furness Riviera' perhaps, rather than Cumbria where there is the unfortunate association with The Cumbrians a distant outfit near Scotland.

Some staggering if not unexpected comments on Red Passion;
One poster wants to know "if Barrow are still part-time and train once-a -week " and another thinks we should give them a whole end (HSE) because " they only got 3.000 at the weekend and many of their players and fans won't have experienced a big crowd ". A deluded arrogance that will hopefully get the reward it deserves.

We've now attracted loads of new fans, who think we should be turning over whoever we play, a bit like last season. Take no notice of most of the comments on "Red Passion", as you rightly say, deluded. Its a whole new ball game in this league, but we will get it right, and we do have a good squad, not just the starting eleven. I saying that, I'd expect a couple of new signings, especially up front, before the transfer window closes.

3000 in attendance because we were playing Sutton, no disrespect to them. You’d imagine there would be something around the 5000 mark in for Wrexham game.

Great news they’ve sold out. But with all due respect, we have 2 equally important games to play before then. Let’s lock this topic page now, and unlock in 5 days time ,OK.

🤣I’m sure Wrexhams owners will pay for all the busses if they end up going home with their tails between their legs like Welsh lambs on the way to becoming butchers meat.

Really good news though not surprising considering the noise around Wrexham and the club's rise.

Will stimulate home sales of tickets too and I notice looking at the 'seats available' that purchases are bouyant. Wondering if the ticket office will be facing a repeat of the 'weeding out' process used last season for a couple of matches. Great that as a result of the newly increased capacity, the club is seeing some early financial benefit.
