Whitfield!
Change of formation might well be needed to get the best out of Whitfield and Worral now; but what a bloody lovely problem to have!

Brilliant signing! I was very impressed when I saw Telford at Newport a few years ago :scarf:

A statement of intent - other clubs will look at that and think Wow these lads mean business. Well done the board and everyone else who made this happen.

Great signing. Came as a nice shock on the eve of a big game tomorrow.
But, wait, he's only 5'7. Farman will be confused whether to kick it as far as he can towards Aquah, or pass it from the back. L😆

Paying a transfer fee for reportably one of the highest paid players in the league. The “little old Barrow” tag now firmly put to bed. Expectations for the season will rise now and in turn the pressure on Wild to deliver.

Yes, but who do you think?

I can’t pin a name, don’t want anyone to leave just yet. I do think Bellis fits the same “project” mould as BSB, so could go out on loan though the B team may negate the need to loan out, but if it comes to reducing pay load it is obvious that loans out are the option.

Really exciting season ahead, hopefully Chester is the next announced.

On paper looks good I have to say, but let's not get carried away just yet.

We sign someone that nobody’s heard of, and has scored 3 goals in ten years, so people question it. We now sign someone who was top scorer in this league 2 years back, and we have to air on the side of caution how we react, sake there’s no pleasing some people.

If someone leaves it will be for a fee. It wouldn’t surprise me if Ben Whitfield moves on. Last year of his contract and we would get more now than in January IMO

Let’s not be writing Ben off yet, I think he is a long term player in the eyes of PW.

Im not writing him off far from it but he is a saleable asset that will attract interest and the owners will want to balance the books after signing Telford. Ben came here after Challinor at Stockport switched to a back three and two wingbacks saying he couldn't guarantee him game time. Wild has also switched to the same formation and at wingbacks we have Newby, Worralll, Tiensia, Ogunbo, and Warren and Whitfield.

All signings are not guaranteed to work out even in the Premier league let alone Div2. Like i said, on paper looks good, lets see if he produces on the pitch before we get all giddy like you 2-2
