Positives we put on a first half master class and are still twelve unbeaten. Also we built it and finally they came with a record crowd of 5866. :scarf: :scarf:

Feel cheated, no reason to disallow our third goal and the ref wanted the spotlight, could be an important point at the end of the season but should have won that comfortably.

Not much between the two sides. At about 60 minutes I thought Stockport looked likely winners , so it was good that we got a grip and finiished the game stronger.

A good blood and thunder game. To the neutral it must have been hugely entertaining. Fair play to Challinor for his timely subs but we were coasting at 2 - 0 and should not have gifted those goals. It showed we are where we are on merit and that no team should hold any fears for us.

Horsfall had been on the deck for a long time before the ball hit the net for the disallowed effort (and i don't think he'd been fouled) so the ref should explain that one.
Don't let the old man in.

Had my eye on the ball and never saw a foul for the disallowed one. Anyone seen it back confirm or deny it being a foul?

I presume that was tongue in cheek considering E.P. only holds 10,852?

Happy with a point from 2 down, we were absolutely abysmal 1st half but had a far better 2nd half & for a brief period it looked like we might grab a 3rd but you settled down again & put the pressure back on. Hinchliffe's save in the 2nd half won us the point today. Overall a fair result but I suspect we're happier with it than you as not many teams will get points at Holker St. this season.

Thought head injuries were mandatory to go off for at least 30 seconds or is that in in league 2 ? Player was NOT injured and got up as soon as ref blew for a foul. Another joke official who would give a foul for a 6ft player throwing themselves to the floor when Gotts jumps with them yet Acquah was repeatedly pulled down and nothing. Countys 1st goal was so poor right on 1/2 time - no closing down, poor attempt at a tackle, then looked like a deflection. Spence had a great effort go just wide, Acquah had 2 great chances which he went with on his right foot and had no power in either shot. Then the No goal ! 2 points dropped but still unbeaten

Thought atmosphere and support at ground very good and the flags looked great from the main stand.A game we could have won or lost so maybe draw fair result .Their man Maddox should have been sent off for slapping our player right in front of 4th official who reported to ref who only gave yellow card.Spence very unlucky with long shot just veered off target last second keeper beaten.Goal should have stood there player appeared to be knocked over by his own team man.Thoroughly enjoyed it all

According to Pete Wild, the George Ray goal was disallowed not for a foul but because the 4th official told the referee there was a player down just before Ray put it in the net.
That's why Pete Wild was not happy.
He said Elliott Newby was down for 45 seconds and the referee never stopped the game.

I didn't think there was a lot wrong for your disallowed goal but there were a lot of bodies in the box so it was hard to tell what had gone on. Initially I thought it was a great strike from your lad & we got lucky with the decision. That said, Whitfield's goal is up on twitter & it looks like he stepped off the pitch for a second before re-entering to tap it in so we could argue he was offside & that shouldn't of been given. The ref's bad decisions seemed to be evenly split between the two sides today.

That save near the end was world class, I thought it was in !, why the ref disallowed Ray's goal was borderline at best.
I know Stockport are good but we gave them too much respect at times instead of closing down quicker it's risky strategy and we hot punished twice, when we took the game to them they looked vulnerable but still it's fantastic to see how far we've come that's with no where near the budgets of Wrexham, Stockport, Bradford and Mansfield honestly think we'll make the playoffs it's a big ask to stay in the top 3 but who knows !

Lots of arrogant comments on Stockport forums - as you'd expect with a club that is a "loadofmoney" one now. Pathetic really as I seem to remember them playing National League North against us not that long ago. Some offended we criticised those hardy 500 who braved the treacherous trek north to see the game. So much for packing out the away end, whinging on about restricted views etc etc. Ever been in the away end at Anfield? Happens at the very top clubs. How dare Barrow even mix it with the so called L2 big boys eh. They also assume we will run out of steam like the Halifax Wild teams did. We shall see. Lets see if loadofmoney Stockport run out of steam - now that would be embarrassing wouldn't it.

500 away fans would be fine from the South, but from Stockport and the run they're on is poor. It's not even necessarily how close it is, but the fact that they bang on about their incredible support etc makes it embarrassing. County were just as poor as their fans for 40 mins until a gk mistake. We responded well late on and really should have the 3 points with Acquahs chances and the dreadful disallowed goal. No wonder Pete was angry. Top effort from the Barrow fans and the display. Next rime just give them the Holker end bottom corner and we'll fill the new away stand. ;)
